Byard is still productive, and still has a home here. He's going to be a free agent. They should try to bring him back if the price is right.

Mike Borgonzi came here from KC. He surely must be looking around at all of this thinking it's a total shit show. I hope their actual plan makes much more sense than we can see from the outside, as right now it is damn near an unwatchable product. The defense is a sieve, and the offense is a mess. I hold out hope for the rookies, but I am sorely disappointed overall. On the radio today they showed that Chig was now the only player left from the 2022 draft, and we know there isn't much left from before that. I now know that having Derek covered many ills this team had for years. They just let way too much talent walk in the name of paying a few stars who aren't here anymore, either.

I think people are reluctant to criticize Callahan because he seems to be a really good guy, and Ward really likes him. That said, Ward likes to win, and the coaching must improve quickly. The discipline of this team is awful. There have been years of poor discussions made by this organization that were not Cally's fault, but the stuff that happens on game day falls right on him. It was under his watch that the Titans felt it was cool to part with Henry, and it is on him to field a suitable replacement offense. As it stands, our former first ballot hall of fame running back had more offense by himself yesterday than the entire Titans offense combined. As a fan, that makes me angry, followed by numb and indifferent. He wanted to be the dude, well it's time for him to perform like the dude, or he can join Wissenhunt in the scrap heap of Titans poor decisions.

I was at the practice yesterday and saw this. It was a great catch, but he should have had more sense than to dive for that ball without pads, given his injury history. Live to make another play. In his attempt to show what he can do he removed himself from the option to show what he can do in training camp. This guy was drafted in the first round to replace A.J. Brown and can't stay healthy. I know it's old news now, but that one trade was the worst in franchise history. Since 2022, Brown has appeared in two Super Bowls and has a ring. Since his departure, the Titans are on their third GM, 2nd head coach, and 3rd QB drafted. The loss of Derrick hurts, but in 2021 the Titans had their best season since 2008, and DH was injured for the majority of games. That next spring we traded A.J. and have been a semi-dumpster fire since. I hope this team leans its lesson about undervaluing talent. Now we are really rebuilding again- let's hope not to continue to be a farm team to help build other teams' success.

We'll see how much the line has improved, but we can thank them and Levis for getting us the number 1 pick. This is a weird take, but if Ward shines moving forward then Levis did his job by not being able to do his job. It's like trading a second round pick for a first round pick. It's already better production from any 1st or 2nd rounder than the Titans have drafted since Big Jeff and Derrick Henry.

My hope is that The Bengals part ways with Jake Browning, and that the Titans sign him as a backup. The Bengals just signed Desmond Ridder, so anything is possible.

Not too long ago I discovered SI's Titans page as another source of Titans new during the offseason. After visiting it daily, I find it is the worst page for posting sensational nothing burger posts that are just regurgitated stories to create content. The most guilty is Jeremy Brener, who finds one line some analyst mentions then builds a headline that blows the comment out of context. That is usually followed by a retelling of thoughts he's posted on two or three other recent posts. What news sources do you prefer when it comes to following the Titans?

At this point, I don't think I care one iota about Shadeur. He's getting way too much attention for a 5th round draft pick who is not very likely to start in 2025. I wish him the best, but he plays for The Browns. I'm much more concerned with the steps the Titans take to right their ship.

I was at the live taping @ The Hutton. It was a cool experience. Callahan knows football, and he knows QBs- I'm interested to see how he improves as a HC. Even if it doesn't work out in the end, it won't be because this guy was arrogant- he's pretty real. He had a lot of growing pains his first year, and I dare say this team Callahan inherited was a shell of the team Vrabel arrived to coach (Mullarkey went 9-7 with a playoff win when Robinson replaced him). If you remember, Vrabel's first year with Matt LeFleur as OC wasn't all sunshine and roses, and he had plenty of mistakes- but the talent collection was better on both sides of the ball. Notice Vrabel's record after Arthur left, Lewan was let go, and A.J. was traded. Even with Henry, he had 6 wins even as a very experienced head coach. Bravado can't replace when there is a void in talent. Thank Robinson for too many first round busts- all of the good second round players can't make up for the ghost town that was the O line Ran inherited, but didn't have the GM acumen to fix.

Thanks for sharing this. It seems like all of the anecdotes on Ward point to him being a great fit for this franchise and what the Titans have been missing. As a longtime Titans fan, we have seen our share of promising QBs in the draft only to be disappointed in the end. Since McNair no-one has really solidified their status as a franchise QB (Tannehill got closest, but he wasn't a Titans draft pick). After the many draft misses (Young, Locker, Mettenberger, Mariota, Willis, and Levis) this fan base has earned the right to be skeptical when it comes to the Titan's ability to draft a top QB. With that said, I really like what I see in Ward both on the field and off. He looks like the real deal, but only time will tell.
