12 and 20 for 4 and 66 is a no brainer what are we even doing here?

I doubt the Cowboys offer up both picks anyway.

You can always trade down from 20 or 35 if you wanted to recoup that 3rd rounder anyway.

Love immediately makes you a more explosive team. He's going to add 10-20 TDs a year through the run and pass game. He's going to upgrade your pass protection. He's going to force teams to account for

The Jaguars gave up what again for Travis Hunter? This notion we should take less capital is kind of mind boggling. If a team wants to move then they need to pay the full price.

You dont do it because trading up costs a premium. Especially into the top 5. You can get that deal without 66.  May cost you 101 or something else but you can do it if they really want someone.

Todd McShay (who is pretty connected to our front office) said on his podcast today that "it's Jeremiyah Love at #4... But if Bailey or Reese are there don't be shocked if they pivot and go ED....They would add a weapon on offense who a lot of teams have as the #1 player in the draft but if they're staring at Arvell Reese at 4, they could go in that direction. That's the information I'm getting."

Sounds like our board, according to McShay, could be:

1) Reese

2) Bailey

3) Love

Edit: Adding that this could make sense as to why we leaked our Love interest so early. We're happy taking Love at 4, but if we can get someone to trade up with ARI for Love then we get one of the ED's who's higher on our board.

It’s basically your second point , if one of the edge rushers is there , that’s the pick . If not it’s Love.  He just restated it in a different way with a focus on Love.

The Cowboys can pay that premium if they want us to walk away from Love/Tate/whoever. Save the pick swapping for day 3.

This isn't a deep draft and we would be trading away from the elite talent with a roster bereft of elite talent. There's no way I'm giving up the 3rd rounder. If we do then obviously Borgonzi disagrees and doesn't see the positional value of a guy like Love or Styles as worth it, or doesn't grade Tate as an elite talent. Who knows how it works out, but the Jags paid a fortune to move 3 spots and we are supposed to pick swap for the Cowboys to jump from 12 to 4? I would pass.
