Lol Yeah, and for a guy they possibly could've gotten anyway 3 picks later at their original spot.

 

It's almost as if we're (fans) afraid of fucking up a good thing so we (fans) are more willing to acquiesce on shit like this. Nah, Cowboys were dumb enough to trade Parsons away to get the extra pick. They can part ways with it just as stupidly.

 

I still don't know if I'd want to trade with them. Like you said, we'd be moving away from the elite talent. Now... if we'd lost the Cardinals and either the Browns or Chiefs game like we should have we wouldn't have that problem right now. We'd be fielding offers from all these QB thirsty ass teams looking to trade the farm for Mendoza.

 

The Jets could have traded us 2 and 16 (and more). We then could have drafted whoever we wanted or traded down for another huge haul and absolutely owned this draft and turbocharged tf out of this rebuild. *sigh*

But but. those wins mattered, man.  I mean.. We'll have a differetn coachign staff, differnet offensive line and different wr- maybe a differnet rb.. but-- they mattered bc winning those two games is gong to build a winning culture and were the difference in Cam coming back confident or totally not confident next year.

Sounds like our board, according to McShay, could be:

1) Reese

2) Bailey

Edit: Adding that this could make sense as to why we leaked our Love interest so early. We're happy taking Love at 4, but if we can get someone to trade up with ARI for Love then we get one of the ED's who's higher on our board. 

Doesn't sound like McShay knows that they would pivot. He is guessing that they could pivot.  IJS

I caught that too. I found that interesting actually..  He feels confident the Titans are planning on love at 4.. then he is speculating on IF an edge is there what they would do.

The argument wasn't exactly that. It was that the team would never intentionally tank. This wasn't my argument of course and I laughed at the notion those soft ass wins did anything at all for the team.

And if teams thought he would turn out to be as good as he did he wouldn't of been a 3rd round pick.

 

The big difference is Styles is being projected to be NFL level Warner not College Football level Warner.
