Titans Get The #4 Pick In The Draft

Recommended Posts

Breer still thinks the Jets are going to take Bailey at #2.

Here is his latest on the Titans.

Tennessee Titans

First round: No. 4

Total picks: 9

Needs: RB, Edge, Interior OL, WR

What you need to know: Like Arizona, the Titans would love to move down and build up more capital. Yes, they have nine picks, but only three in the top 100. If they get stuck, my sense is that it’ll be one of three guys at 4: Love, Reese or Styles. Getting Love would be an investment in young quarterback Cam Ward, in his ability to routinely generate better down-and-distance situations and serve as an outlet for easy completions in the passing game. Meanwhile, Reese would give the team the edge-rush help it needs and serve as a Swiss Army knife for Robert Saleh’s defense, while the big, rangy, athletic and long Styles would be exactly what Saleh’s scheme demands of an inside linebacker.

Love immediately makes you a more explosive team. He's going to add 10-20 TDs a year through the run and pass game. He's going to upgrade your pass protection. He's going to force teams to account for

The Jaguars gave up what again for Travis Hunter? This notion we should take less capital is kind of mind boggling. If a team wants to move then they need to pay the full price.

The Cardinals have no such logic. They've already signed Allgeier to a two-year $12.25M deal, reworked Conner for 2026, and Benson is under contract through 2027. Drafting Love doesn't replace existing investment — it layers $20.7M in rookie costs on top of a room that's already committed. You'd have four backs eating $33-34M combined in 2027 with no clean way out

Connor has no contract after 2026. Algiers can be cut for cap space after 2026.  So can Benson who doesn’t make much anyway . They also have 150+ million plus in cap space .  The money isn’t a factor.  They are like the Titans they don’t have any long term RB.

They also don’t have any star/recognizable players and their attendance sucks .  You might be right in that it’s not a good way to build the roster.  But the main driver in this is the owner who doesn’t really care about this aspect.

So through the Breer/McShay/Schefter/Jones intel dumps

- All 3 Breer/McShay/Schefter talking up the possibility of Love to the Cardinals if they can't trade out of #3.

- McShay is the only one who thinks Reese will go #2 to the Jets. Schefter, Breer and Jonathan Jones are staying with Bailey to the Jets at #2.

The only thing that makes sense to me is that the team that has interest on the pass rusher believes the Titans will take Love even if Bailey/Reese is available. If that is the case they can likely trade with the Browns or whoever for less trade capital. If the cards take Love off the table, the likely scenario is the Titans take Bailey/Reese. Meaning that team has to trade with the cards if they want Bailey/Reese. It's alot of hoops, but it is all I can come up with. This scenario could also be where our Styles over everyone else could be coming from as well.

If that's the case, and if what we suspect is true (that the Titans really want Reese/Bailey also confirmed in Tony Pauline's report today) then Borgonzi has done a hell of a job convincing everyone they want Love and in reality just did all of this so that Reese/Bailey fall into their laps

So you think Titans posturing they wanted Love has convinced AZ that they now need to take Love? I never understand how people think these things up lol.

If Bailey or Reese were going to fall they would have regardless of Titans draft media speculation lmfao.

If that is the case, it would be a master class.

No... but you better believe its in the best interest for teams that want to trade back and have made it known, to show interest in guys teams may want to move up for.
