They weren't dueling each other, they were dueling the other's defense, which neither of them have anything to do with. The optics of the boxscore couldn't be more misleading. Whatever makes you feel better about the fact Sanders was more accurate and made bigger plays than Cam. oldschool

japan
Sanders did look very accurate. Don’t think he does much against a better defense. Ward throwing to the worst receiving corps in the league. Edited December 8, 2025 by japan
TerryBoats
Ward is bad. But he's a rookie on one of the worst teams and with one of the worst coaching staffs imaginable. I'm sure he's looking forward to putting this year behind us just as we all are.
scine09
Ward is definitely not "bad." WG53, and titanruss 1

Looked a little like a dumber Bryce young to me.

Right, he's made the best of a bad situation and improved as the year's gone on. MadMax
Popular Post OILERMAN
The Athletic broke this game down and went into detail about Sanders Sanders most def made 4 or 5 really nice passes. He was also laughingly lost and did some horrible things a lot. His pocket presence is a catastrophe and he has no ability to make progressions and throw with anticipation. I'd add, The Titans were ahead with a 2 score lead for the first time all year. This was the first time. Their defense is so bad in terms of pass defense personnel. Sanders was throwing against a team with no edge rushers and only 2 CBs(Baker and a 6th round rookie) and a safety playing nickel. Winston and Gray are also coverage liabilities. When the Browns had a lead and into the 4th quarter Sanders was awful. He complied impressive "stats" and made some nice throws. As far as "playing QB", he was lost and awful. Sanders "outplayed" Ward is a vague meaningless statement. Ward is a high level NFL prospect the Titans will be building around. Sanders is a 5th round rookie scrub who is going to get replaced as the starter. Anyone that doesn't know the difference is stupid DCTitan, japan, Mythos27, and 12 others

Both Sanders and Ward have the skills to be an NFL QB. Sanders needs to stop the Chinese firedrill scrambling. I do NOT believe he is a franchise QB. Ward sees the field better and understands what it takes to be a pocket QB. He will get better as the team gets better around him. I DO think he will be a franchise QB. They both need to improve and mature but I feel like Ward is ahead of Sanders in ability to run an offense right now. Trying to judge either guy's career on what we saw in Cleveland is just dumb. My bad. Either way the Sanders vs Ward debate will go on and on as long as they're both playing in the league. TeamRamrod
titanruss
Why would anyone bring up stillman? Ever? Hes such a loser and hasn't been right about pretty much anything his entire career. People that like him are addicted to rage bait.
