Didn't you hear? He was double teamed the whole game to free up the other guys!

Here is the truth. When you dont double the EDGE rushers the interior OL will always help out out on one of the two interior rushers. Its football 101. Sweat didnt eat double teams. He was an afterthought because the Chargers didnt feel the need to double Jones or Ward. They ran stunts all game to take advantage of the banged up Chargers OL

Sweat has shown next to nothing in a year and half. If Borgonzi moves him tomorrow for a 4th so be it.

I don't disagree with any of this. But at his salary, I'm also fine with keeping him. He's good in the run game, and we can pull him in passing. Maybe he'll get in better shape and get just a BIT more speed for the rush. Maybe he won't. I'm fine with trading him. I'm fine with keeping him.

Trade every player that isn't under contract next year though... ALL of them!

Love this angle with the roar of the crowd

Imagine how much louder it'll be in a couple years when we're competitive again...

...oh wait, nevermind. It'll be in a new/neutered indoor stadium that will never be as loud as Adelphia was.

I’m fine with Cams development this year is all about getting him game time reps, flow of  the game and learning as he goes. I’m actually happy he’s not having success right away because  sometimes it’s causes guys to lose focus heading into year two. Things I want him to work on in year two and has he goes on through the season,,, use his legs more, limit the turnovers and not dictate coverage with his eyes more.

Herbert's running may have been the difference in the game Sunday. He's used his legs all year to kill defenses.

You have to pass the ball from the pocket first and foremost but Ward should add his mobility as an added weapon more.

He should figure it out at some point. Kinda suprised he hasn't already. He has a great knack for getting around the edge to buy time to throw it away or take a shot down field. That same ability to judge a defender and get around them should lead to being able to scramble.

Herbert is underrated as an overall athlete, its kind of funny. Ward doesn't have his running ability but he has plenty to be effective and need to run more; just needs to be smart with it.
