That and while he is athletic, I don’t think he’s a unicorn.  It just seems like there are several of these guys available every year via the draft and they could probably replace him if they wanted.

He’s strictly a recieving TE and is not a total /dual threat TE, if he could block ,it’d be easier to make a case to retain him, given our shitty talent level this year.

I really like Helm, and his blocking has gotten much better.  If Borgonzi continues to have drafts like this years, we will be a contender in a couple years.

Hope this is the start of a youth movement for the rest of the season and corresponding trade deadline moves open up more opportunities for Marcus Harris, Kevin Winston Jr and even Gunnar Helm needs t

This opens up a big hole in the roster for a plodding, fumble recovering receiver.

We all already know Chig is gonna go to a good team and put up big numbers and the Tennessee Titans Farm System for the NFL will continue

Wonder if the team did lockett a favor by "letting"him ask for his release. Hes done.

@AussieTitanFan08 Helm clearly looked like he passed Chig on the depth chart yesterday.

They played pretty much the same amount of snaps yesterday Okonkwo 32 and Helm 28.

I would be surprised, I don't think he's overly unique in the league. He could be like Jonnu and luck into a role like he had in Miami last season, but it isn't usually long term as we're seeing now he's back in Pittsburgh. Only a handful of TEs can really put up big numbers and I don't see Chig being one. The thing with good teams is they usually already have good pass catchers.
