Borganzi is in a tough spot regarding improving the team next year since

  • the roster is horrible,
  • replacing coaching won’t make a noticeable difference,
  • and if they trade away too many of the few desirable players that are on the roster right now.

It’ll be interesting to see them walk the tightrope of trading/not re-signing some guys, even if they’re just replaceable level guys due to the number of holes on the roster already. All while the owner expects to see improvement.

You can argue coaching doesn’t matter much, but they did blame Callahan’s incompetence for the lack of improvement. Borganzi and Brinker are next up in the blame game.

This could have been said about NE last year.  They make a few solid additions, replace their retarded coach with a competent one, and are watching their young QB and team thrive.

If you ship out McCreary after shipping out Brownlee you are completely clearing out the CB room. Sneed is 100% gone after the season as well.    I understand you want your own type of playe

I really want them to place Sneed on IR.    These should be his last snaps in a Titans uniform.

If they don't want to pay McCreary the big deal he's going to get after the season then I guess trade him for whatever you can get.    But if this time next year Brownlee and McCreary are pl

Looks like Miles Garrett isn't happy.

Can Borganzi persuade the Browns to trade us Garrett for Key, McCreary, and Sneed?  Let's throw in a high 2026 2nd round draft pick.

What? So he can be in an even worse situation? Can't think of really any organization that's in worst shape than us. Maybe the Saints.

You absolutely cannot tolerate blatant insubordination from a player. If you let that slide, it shows that you can defy the coaching staff without consequences and you lose the whole team.

Does rhat rank above or below elevating a player above the coach like rodgers on the jets.

That's something so out of pocket that I can't even imagine someone allowing that to happen. The Jets are the Jets for a reason. Players MUST be coachable and accountable. That's the bare minimum standard.

That's true... but we have more promise at QB1 position. And we'll get a new coach.

But you're right. We ass.

This fan take is so dumb. Brownlee flat out refused to clean up his technique, said so publicly, and something happened behind the scenes that led to him be shipped out. Maybe it was the wake up call he needed to clean his act up?

Ya'll are lapping up the Titans PR script

We have zero idea what happened. Every player on the team said nothing happened and were confused. His DB coach and DC both said they didnt think he needed to change the way he played.  There has been ZERO indication of insubordination or malcontent from him-  outside of what was said when he was traded. No one in media or the players or his own coaches indicated any issues and nothing has come to light.

He hasnt had a penalty since week one and only had like 57 yards of penalties last year.

A far more likely case is that Borg wanted his guys playing regardless. Its extremely common for new managers to come in and think they have to tear down everything to rebuild how they see fit. The issue arises when establishing dominance overshadows production.

People are being weird about this.  Ward said that the team was ass, he has yelled at multiple players, undermined the coaches by saying the communications problems weren't on the players, has hurt the team with many mistakes, yet he's not going to be traded anytime soon.  Wtf happened here?

Ward is not the problem. The turnover in staff, FO, and players is the problem.  Directionless football where the incentive is to play not to lose rather than take risks. Trying to find deals in players and prioritizing picks over contrubuting players. Those are the issues.

Losing Mccreary sucks but is manageable.  But dumping the whole CB room and acting like it can be easily fixed is asinine.

These trade valuations are hard to figure:

Brownlee a 5th round pick who, although imperfectly, outplayed his 5-146 draft status and goes with a 7th round pick to the Jets for only a single 6th rounder.

McCreary drafted at 2-35 (third pick in round 2?) only garners a 5th rounder and a pick swap of a 6th. He made the starting unit (nee on a bad team) for four years. SMH.

Trading a player in his second year is like trading a car in just a few weeks after purchasing brand new.  You just lost money, for nothing.
