Titans Head Coach Search 2026 (Working on deal with Saleh)

I really like McDaniel, but I don't see Borgonzi pulling the trigger on him. I really feel like a Saleh HC/McDaniel OC pairing would be tremendous, but the fact that McDaniel has already interviewed with the lions for their OC job and with Philly in hot pursuit for their OC job, what are the chances he would choose to be the Titans OC over those two. If they want McDaniel working with Cam, they likely have to make hin HC.

McDaniel is interviewing with the Bucs for their OC job today as well.

If we hire Saleh I think there's a chance of that.

 

But personally I don't want McDaniel as a 2-3 year rental. I want him as the long term guy... that means HC.

 

If he thinks he'd be happy as an OC long term ala Pees as a DC then sure.

McDaniel isn’t going to be anyone else’s OC while Dan Quinn has an opening on his staff. Those two guys are thick as thieves.

He doesn’t have an opening on his staff. They hired David Blough already

Yeah, only way he comes to TN is as HC or being paired with Saleh. Both seem very unlikely to me.

Its not about where the offenses are. Its the possibility of where they could go for someone like McDaniel.

Only way McDaniel comes to TN is as HC. Anything else is a pipe dream.

 

Personally, I don't think he's the right guy for what Borgonzi has said he wants or for what I believe the Titans need, but I won't lie that there is a part of me that is intrigued by the idea of him working with Cam.

Whatever he wanted. And then he would be the most coveted HC candidate next year and we missed him for the dumbest fucking reasons.
