Some of the justifications holding sway in this discussion are pretty funny: 1) inter-franchise grudges, 2) conference preferences, 3) previously WON a Super Bowl...

 

I say acceptance of a Titan job offer will be strictly based on the best perceived opportunity: ownership/front office, QB situation, roster preparedness, draft and FA potential.

 

We score high on 2.5/4 of those issues.

Easton just said they have sourcing from both camps that McCarthy has interest in the titans job and the titans are interested in him so Maybe they changed their minds or they just haven’t scheduled the interview yet. Who knows

One more note on McCarthy and Harbaugh. In his presser yesterday, Borgonzi said he wants the Head Coach they hire to be here for a long time. With McCarthy (62) and Harbaugh (63) in their mid-60's you are likely looking at 3-5 years max even if they are successful. Everyone else they are interviewing or rumored to be interested in is under 60 years old, except Steve Spagnulo.

Not yet, but several sources say there is interest on both sides to meet.

You can argue he's not a good HC based on Arizona but the idea his offense isn't good is crazy. just like people claiming its like the run and shoot, yet his team are always tops in rushing and rushing%. My main beef with his offense is that it is more suited to college and he's in shotgun 93% of the time. I wouldn't like him as a HC candidate at this point but OC would be fine with.

Why is everything so extreme with Rowland? Lol it's like, everything has to be 100% one way or the other and the most dramatic version of events humanly possible on any subject.

Kingsbury's game management is a real issue though.  He was so bad at it in Arizona and literally cost his team games.

I bet Peters offensive viewpoint is very Shanahan-esque coming from San Fran. Very very very different offense than Kingsbury's.
