IsntLifeFunny
Cam isn't developing. He's regressing. The offense is by far the worst in the league. It's as simple as that. titanruss

IsntLifeFunny
Sure thing. Our QB is not progressing. He looks like dog shit. The offense is dead last across the board and the coach is 3-19. Have fun arguing against facts. oldschool

cenj
Albert Breer has a really bad grasp of the organization. I've noticed his takes over the last year sound like someone who has read a fact sheet but has no idea what's really going on.

But not really. 1 hour ago, Pragidealist said: The real question is- was it meaningful, strategic improvement or was it cosmetic. I have no doubt if they change coaches, the team would "improve" at some point in the year. I also believe -- the purpose of this year is development and progression. Any new coach who comes in will know that is lip service- wins matter over development. And maybe.. no matter what ppl say- that is true. The team will most likely win some games regardless of who the coach is. And you will probably be able to debate whether it was meaningful/strategic or just cosmetic either way. The fact is, and this is something the FO have explained to (apparently) deaf ears since months ago, this team is trash. It was always going to be trash. Any win is going to be an absolute strugglefest so judging the job of the coaching by wins is actually a pretty damn ridiculous measuring stick. I'm no magic 8 ball so I refuse to say emphatically that Callahan can't and won't turn it around, even though I think he has less than a 1% chance of it and that you're smoking premium shit if you think there's a chance higher than that. However, IF he did somehow turn it around it would be a fucking miracle considering how bad this roster is. And when I say "turn it around" I mean this team is executing and playing competitively, wins or not. Pragidealist
tgo
You guys are gonna hate this, But I think Mike Kafka and Matt Nagy are among the most likely candidates this offseason due to Borgonzi's influence. I think if Kafka brought someone like Tim Kelly with him, that would be the perfect sort of offense for Cam Ward. I really can't stand the vanilla West Coast shit that Callahan runs and it's just a terrible fit for Ward's skillset. Kafka's preferred DC I think is Wink Martindale. He was one of the shortlist candidates when they opted for Callahan. titanskick8851
titanskick8851
Also thinking about it...if you are someone hoping for Joe Brady, hate to break it to you. He most likely goes to Cincinnati to re-unite with Burrow and Chase after they fire Zac Taylor this year. Just one name to not get too serious about hoping for. NashvilleNinja
Left field candidate that may not be all that left-field: Eric Morris Something to consider, maybe? I know he's been nothing but a college coach, but he's been a coordinator for both Mahomes and Ward and he's also already been Ward's head coach once before. Or, if not, if Kingsbury wound up the guy, maybe Morris comes on as the offensive coordinator? They were HC/OC together at Texas Tech when they had Mahomes. Just a thought. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eric_Morris_(American_football) TeamRamrod

His accuracy is all over the place, he isn’t taking a lot of the easy stuff, holding the ball too long etc Regardless of the scheme, Ward has got to play better. When he's on time and not pushing things, he's mostly doing pretty well with a few close misses. I think we're seeing a rookie superstar struggling a little with teh adjustment and learning what he can get away with and not. I think he'll progress.
