He did a Nazi salute and it just started working for him…

Tennessee Titans’ hires   The Tennessee Titans held off a late surge to land assistant GM Dave Zielger over the weekend. For a while, amid all the moving parts that go into carousel season,

Want to hear something funny? Austin Stanley on their AtoZ show this morning said Ziegler chose this job over the Jets because of…….our organizational structure!   Those AtoZ guys were the l

Not a position you want to draft early either ideally, so would be best to pair a mid round rookie with a veteran free agent.

Shoot unless you find Nick Emmanwori falls into Day 2, I don’t think I’m spending any draft capital at the position.

With the free agents available you can easily get your S2 and S3 in free agency for relatively cheap. If they draft Cam Ward, they should re-sign Quandre Diggs seeing as he is Ward’s cousin and would be a good mentor to help get Ward use to NFL life.

Just depends on how that Lisfranc injury is healing for an old guy who needs to retain some speed as a DB.

Could easily see them viewing him as a low cost bridge option.

Mac Jones seems more like a vet backup if they draft Ward. I don’t think they can sign him to just be the starter even as a bridge guy.

I just hope Ziegler and McKenzie aren’t being forced on Borgonzi. I don’t think they would be but he doesn’t really have much of a personal connection to either of them right? And we had reports and/or guesses of both guys being added before the ink was even dry with The CyBorg.

The concern is legitimate, but very mild from my point of view.

Mckenzie seems like a Brinker hire mostly for Brinker's sake - get a well versed guy in as a an advisor that really isn't going to cause any power dynamic issues. Also doesn't hurt that there's some GB connections & McKenzie is from Knoxville. Obviously, thus far, Brinker doesn't seem like the type that'd just roll over and capitulate to RM.

I also have a hard time believing that they forced Botgonzi to hire a direct report in Ziegler that he didn't want that there's also some crossover with without his complete buy-in.

Impossible, no.

Is it the Titans, yes.

Just seems far fetched.

Edit: my typo of BOTgonzi?

That’s true. Plus you would have to imagine it’s something they talked about during the interview process.

Every GM has assistants below him in the front office. That’s like saying “why do generals need all these colonels and majors”?

Well, when there are 44 four-star generals, it might be a valid question.
