Shit, if only I could be alpha like Righteous.

Vrabel magically turned into a good coach the week Tannehill stepped in as the starter. The team was 2-4 before that. Vrabel had a losing record before that.    Anyone that watched camp and

Uh, the Titans were 6-18 in Vrabel's last 24 games   The decline started before Callahan got here

Vrabel is a good players coach and it’s certainly possible that he learned something from his first stint as a head coach.

But his stubbornness and conservative ways got him fired and if he doesn’t change then the Pats will eventually fire him, too.

I live in New England. All my buddies are Pats fans. Brutal day here.

Anyways, we know that Callahan will be fired after Vrabel and the Pats come to TN next season and lay the belt to their ass.

I fully expected Amy to fire Cally after watching the Texans win yesterday, and the Titans weren’t even playing lol

Sounds like a joke but reads like a broken record

My oldest likes stories and analyzing them and why they work. We've talked numerous times about a good story (especially horror) intentionally leaves things vague because your imagination and a sense of infinite unknown is always better than what they'll come up with.

Same story goes here. Once you start defining exactly who somebody is, you're actually minimizing from what you thought they could have been. You haven't seen enough of Callahan to minimize his potential in your mind. That's not actually a compliment to anything he really is, it's just a matter of you not knowing.

He could be the next all-time great. You could also coach the worst team in the NFL again next year. Anybody who thinks they have a strong feel on that is simply telling themselves a story.

The bulk of the evidence would lend to people telling themselves that the Titans should have cut ties with Callahan right along with Carthon. 3-14 records don't typically grow on trees. The Titans haven't had a record that bad since the Ruston Webster days. That they didn't fire Callahan at the very least tells the story that they believe he was worth hanging onto.

Of course no one knows what's going to happen with him either way, and at this point it's mostly just a feeling (with me) that it'll be positive more than it will be negative. Which is why I said he has more room to grow (how much worse could it get than it did this year). I guess I could veer more toward being pessimistic about it and be bitching, pissing, and moaning like all of Titans Twitter right now but I really don't wanna engage in that shit. I could also just stay ultra neutral but I could also sit and watch paint dry and have about as much fun.

I think I'd rather kinda jerk it to visions of Lombardi trophies dancing in my head because it's just a more fun story to tell yourself when you're watching James Cook score touchdowns in a playoff run the Titans are literally the furthest thing from.

It’s looking like McDaniels will be their OC, which shows maybe Vrabel is realizing what he needs to do to succeed there.

Josh McDaniels and Mike Vrabel together? Well won't that be a rosy ass relationship full of nothing but sunshine, lollipops, and agreement. It certainly won't be absolutely full of manipulation, intimidation, and back stabbing. No way in Bostonian hell that'll happen.

For the 100th time, firing Vrabel was the correct move even if Callahan doesn’t work out.

Mike Vrabel is politically savvy. He didn’t like that Amy didn’t give him total control so he took a shot at her and the organization during his Patriots HOF speech and was difficult to work with.

He’s not taking over a playoff roster this time. We will see how he does
