Newsflash:    The way to turn around a shitty franchise is getting a franchise QB, not stockpiling mid round draft picks.

If I were an owner holding the first overall pick, and my team didn’t have a QB, and the front office’s plan was to go sign Jimmy Garoppolo or Andy Dalton and trade the first overall pick for magic be

Luckily for him he will likely be able to focus on just that in 2026 if he chooses!

Teams like CIN, WFT, and BUF were in purgatory forever like we we are. They got the right QB and found a good HC/GM combo. It starts with that. If you don't have that, you don't have much of a chance.

Two things

- No guarantee either of these two guys are a franchise guy

- Secondly if you are trading out of the #1 pick you are not doing it for only mid round picks.

Of course there’s no guarantee.

But here’s a guarantee: without a top flight franchise QB, you can’t consistently contend for Championships.

Agreed. There's a few outliers (02 Bucs, 00 Ravens, 15 Broncos), but all those teams were super elite on D. Unless you're really elite everywhere else it's hard to win without a franchise QB. Even then, those teams were a bit of an anomaly. They weren't able to sustain that success either. Best chance of competing every year is franchise QB.

Who are Ward’s NFL comps?

Steve McNair+Cam Newton+Donovan McNabb+Byron Leftwich+Jameis Winston+Daunte Culpepper

Nah really though, his effortlessness and poise when he’s outside the pocket just reminds me of McNair. Seems completely unbothered by all the bodies flying around.

Really looks like the board is coming to a consensus on Cam Ward as QB1.

For the record, I’m not convinced that Ward is the best QB for this team yet, but I do think the idea he isn’t a high first round pick grade-wise is nonsense.

Which is hilarious given the local fan media is trying to throw Sanders as the only QB in this draft down the throats of Titans fans.

The source off is pretty weird - the local

guys all in on Sanders and the national guys saying they like Ward.

I’m not convinced either way, keeping an open mind for now.
