And we entered the offseason with this as the overwhelming likelihood. As stated they were a bit behind in making full assessments so were open to anything. I think their board left them feeling that Ward is a legitimate top 10 pick rated QB and the meetings thereafter locked it in. Again no team that needs a QB trades out of the opportunity to draft a legitimate 1st pick worthy QB. Ward is the guy. Oilers&Titans Posted March 13, 2025 Report Share Posted March 13, 2025 Cam Ward completely reminds me of Steve McNair Alcorn St. 1993, 1994. and Deshawn Watson Clemson and early Houston career. Very similar size, wt, movement. He has very low bust probability, not sure how successful he will be , but fun to watch and root for. McNair also played at a way lower level of football and in an offense that wasn’t remotely preparing him to run an NFL offense. Cam will be way better prepared to play in the NFL.
