In theory NPF, Duncan or Watson could also be in play at LT if Latham isn't going to work there.

He's going to get more than just camp and the season to show he can't handle LT. I feel pretty confident if Latham doesn't work out at LT his replacement isn't on the roster.

I didn't interpret their comments saying he's going to start off at LT to mean he's going to get multiple years to "feel natural" at LT.

I agree but it also sends the message that they don´t think these guys are the talent-less bums we thought and they looked like.

I don't think there's any question that the coaching and scheme/philosophy of the prior regime didn't maximize their abilities and often put them in the worst position to succeed.

That's you doing your eeyore routine. Of course he's going to get more than camp.

Nah, it's just not true that they were saying "he's going to start off at LT and if, years down the line, he isn't natural, then we'll move him to RT."

I expect him to play LT because he'll do fine there, but they aren't talking about it taking years to know if he "feels natural" there. I think we will know fairly quickly if he just can't handle the transition to the left. How good he is there is different question, but that doesn't have to do with his feel for playing on the left.

This more than likely. He would have to be unbelievably bad on the left side to get moved early.

I agree. Their comments make this sound more likely than it is imo, which is why I said “in theory.” They are the ones who brought up this possibility first 😂

Brian Callahan straight up when directly asked refused to confirm they would of taken Latham over Nabers if given the opportunity to do so, he also said there was a massive pre-draft debate about WR vs OT and that we (Titans fans) would never know if they would of taken Nabers ahead of Latham.

This isn't the kind of non-definitive statement TR likes though. You are either smart and think it was OT no matter what, or a dumbfuck who thinks there could have been a debate about taking a WR instead.

Did you expect an active NFL coach to directly answer that question?

I will point out that the way Fowler worded that and the quote he chose to reference inferred Latham was the preferred choice and Nabers (or Rodunze) was in play vs the next LT in the pecking order.....Fashanu.
