Mythos27
I know I'm not supposed to like Justin Fields but I do. I think he has a lot of tools and just hasn't put it together yet. Really tough decision for the Bears but he's absolutely a guy I would buy low on if I was a team like the Pats.

I like the kid just don't think he's ever going to put it together. He's kind of my "Nickleback" QB. SHHHH Mythos27

Its not a tough decision at all. They passed on Young and Stroud last year. Can't afford to pass on Williams who is widely considered the best QB prospect since Luck for what Fields has done to date. if Fields flops and Williams or Maye/Daniels turn into franchise QBs, the GM is done. rns90
ctm
2024 is Fields last year under contract. 2025 would be his 5th year option (est. 22M). Any team trading for him will likely want a new contract negotiated before a deal is made. That could reduce his value. The advantage for Chicago is that a draftee completely resets their QB clock. This is a guy I absolutely didn’t want, much like Will Levis. Now, I think he would actually be a nice WR 3/4. Good candidate for one of those guys who could do even more in a pass first offense. Kind of add that makes sense if they sign Tee Higgins, and you can rotate him and see if he can overtake Philips and Burks. Mocks had him available in 3-4, but it feels more like 2-3 now. If they got an OT at 7 then traded out of 38 for a later 2 and a 3, then maybe if Ran still wanted someone Flowers-esque, say, as an alternative to a Worthy or McConkey type. TerryBoats
I think Wilson's speed is exaggerated... He was clocked around 20 MPH at the senior bowl. Terry Mclaurin hit over 22 mph in the same setting. I think he's more likely to be Kalif Raymond than a true game changer.

GLinks
I don’t think I over hyped him in any way by calling him a WR 3/4. The comparison to McLaurin’s speed is not a pro player forecast in any way, either. There’s no “McLaurin Threshold” For WR success.

I only brought him up because he was overlooked prior to the draft due to being under utilized in college. GLinks

This is a mult-year rebuild with a question mark at QB. We aren't taking one of the QBs but aren't locked in on Levis being the future. If someone offers a first next year the FO is going to seriously consider it. It gives us ammo for next year's QB class if Levis can't stay healthy or doesn't fix his problems. Bongo59
I just saw a mock with Alt going #1. If that happens a QB for sure is in play at 7. oldschool, and IsntLifeFunny
