Didn't the Cards trade up for Johnson last year? A guy who is probably the 3rd best LT prospect in this class. I'd be more concerned the LTs will be trade up targets ahead of #7.

Given the volume of offensively challenged teams at the top of this draft it would be incredibly difficult and if even possible incredibly expensive to get any of them to trade away from one of these elite QB/OT/WR prospects.

AJ Brown and Davis Long were hurt all the time with the Titans.   With their new teams they haven't missed any time. Coincidence or Titan related? Either way I'm tired of it

Walter Football was really dialed into what the Titans would do for a few years. I wonder if their source was Blake Beddingfield lol

The LT does almost always protect the blind side though, that does make it way more important

Yes but as others have said, the reads on any given pass play can affect the blind side. If the progression dictates that the QB read from left to right, he has a good view of the left side pressure but is blind to what's happening on the right side. We've seen QBs take such sacks here and they don't look any less brutal.

On of the biggest hits Levis took this season was from a whiff on the right side on the line where he simply didn't feel the pressure coming straight at him.

You are painting with a broad brush.

Cards - spent the #6 pick on Johnson last year with the idea he'll take over for the current aging LT in the next year or two. You are now saying they could take another LT #3 the very next year and keep Johnson at RT

Chargers - Have a young top 10 LT already in Slater. will they spend #5 on a LT and move Slater to RT? Possible

Giants - drafted Thomas #4 in 2020, current LT. Drafted Neal #7 in 2022 to play RT (LOLOLOL) and he hasn't panned out. Will the Giants burn another top 10 pick on RT to replace a guy they drafted 2 years ago?

Here is the point. Its possible the two LTs go before the Titans pick at #7 however the 3 teams in front of them all have established LTs or in the case of the Cards, a successor in place and the top 3 teams badly need QBs with two awesome QB prospects. Daniels is the wildcard imo. if the Pats don't go Daniels I could see them going LT which would open the door for the Titans to miss out but I'd be surprised. Picking 7th isn't ideal when needing to land the top LT in the draft but the board is setup this year for Alt to fall to #7, lets hope he does.

Agree.

Those wins the last few weeks didn't do us any favors, but the order fell to the best possible scenario for us to get one of the top 2 OTs. I can't see the Cards going OT and trading out of that pick if Marvin Harrison Jr is on the board. I don't see Chargers going OT, but they could be a trade candidate. Giants I think have too many issues to go OT. All 3 would be picking a RT and they all have far greater needs than a RT.

To me the biggest concern is do the Jets move up to get the OT they want? and then what happens from there for any other team that wants the other OT?

We will see how it all shakes out. FA will paint a better picture for what the teams ahead of us will do.

Its very possible Alt is gone before pick 7. I'm just pushing back on the idea its the Cards that would make that move just because MJH went before them. We see this every year where random mock drafts don't really factor in team wants or needs. They impose their own agenda. Oh the Cards lost their LT to an ACL. let me invent a scenario where they keep the #6 overall pick at RT so I can pencil in LT at #4 this year. To be honest mocks in early January are completely worthless. Need to get through Free Agency and the start of the draft season before looking at mocks. And if you do, pick ones that are historically accurate. Not ones that fit your doomsday scenario.
