I think it set him on the right path mentally but it wasn’t the reasons that he finally turned it around . the only part I’ll disagree with is it, we see RB produce (or turn it around ) on a yearly basis. Not to the extent of Henry’s specific story where he transforms into an all World RB and HOF lock. That’s the outlier part of it. I'm honestly perfectly fine with everything you said and yet, I'm made out to be unreasonable. The reasons I'm made out to be unreasonable are because: 1. Successfully labeling someone a "homer" on this board is a shortcut to not having to engage with the substance of their arguments. 2. If you can successfully convince people that Henry became a whole new player then you don't have to admit you were embarrassingly wrong to label him a bust that would never be a starting level RB only to have him become the best RBof his generation and likely a first ballot HOF. I know cope when I see it. rns90

I mean it’s not like this dude was Najee Harris or some stiff RB. RB is most dependent on other parts . I think the 40/40/20 split is pretty reasonable. rns90

I don't disagree but more than just those two guys feed into the narrative and fan the flames any time Henry appears to be struggling. If it were just 2 randos, I wouldn't even bother but they have a lot of influence and I see too many otherwise reasonable people parrroting those narratives. If everyone is on board with that 40/40/20 split then frankly I have nothing of real substance to debate. Any other debates would be minor disagreements. titanruss, and IsntLifeFunny

However, no matter how dumb he is, he is going off of datapoints that might be in the struggle bus area. So even if he doesn’t understand them, I understand them and have to course-correct. Same with my employees who aren’t doing their jobs correctly. If someone is fucking up, you correct them. If I have an employee I think could be really good but isn’t putting in the work or showing that tenacity/desire, they don’t get opportunities until they prove they deserve them. This is the case ANYWHERE. His boss isn't your boss, though. His boss was "run it til it pops" Robiskie, and his boss (Mularkey) was the one who got fired for not firing Robiskie. Guess he didn't like his boss's data points. titanruss

If he gave those 150 carries to Henry in 2018 maybe he makes the playoffs his first year coaching. 4.9 ypc and 12 touchdowns splitting carries with a guy running 3.3 ypc and 1 TD, what a joke. Let's not act like meathead was a genius now to support your narrative that Henry was a bum then.
