Vrabel gaining more personnel control is not a good thing - regardless of who the new GM is - I promise you that.

Vrabel's comment "who is he going to throw it to?" about the receivers/Malik is a little more cryptic now.    I loved Jrob, but I love AAS more. She ain't fucking around. Ya love to see it.

They are one of the least talented teams personnel wise on offense comparatively and some of your “pretty good” players are merely OK ones.

This was after week 9... Ranked 18th in offensive grade per PFF. Likely have slipped a few spots since then, but saying they are one of the least talented teams (bottom 10% by definition is not correct). They are probably in the 50th-75th percentile in terms of talent on offense if I am being completely objective.

I do agree that the WR group are likely bottom 10%.

Edit - I just signed up for a PFF membership to look . Titans are currently ranked 19th in total offensive grade. And don't tell me it's because we are blessed with offensive coaching masterminds.

I am very thankful that someone other than Jon Robinson will be working to fix the offensive line

When you are the head of an organization, you hire people to specifically work on areas where you are weak.

Good one.

Question not being asked is what in the world was Strunk thinking signing Robinson to a 5 year deal when all of this stuff he was supposedly fired for was known and in the past.

It was before the off-season right?  Clearly her view changed.  Maybe some doubts in decisions became abundantly clear that his sill set is not suited for where they are now.

The OL sucks.  We beyond Burks is bad.  TE is Chig only.  Not really any blue chippers beyond QB and RB and even those are top 10 guys

Hooper is a nice player for the Titans run.

One thing that both the national and local media have observed is how much the opinion from fanbase versus the NFL differ on this. They are pretty much polar opposite

NFL doesn't pay attention.  They see the 6-7 straight winning seasons and AFCCG run.  Fanbase has grown frustrated with the running-in-place...

I posted to wait.  Maybe next time she will listen.

Talking about Titans fans?  Most of then don't follow football enough to think this is unusual or understand how huge the move is to release a winning GM right after losing badly in a regular season game..  The thing that still remains is why.  After some shaky players picked in his first draft, why wouldn't JRob have assigned the assistant coaches and the scout department to focus on the draft and FA signings.

Right, she thought his moves were great just 10 months ago.

I think people are doing some rationalization by making it so much about the track record. I think it's pretty much all due to the AJ Brown situation. That's the main thing that changed in that time period and I don't believe the timing of the firing is a coincidence.

I'm not saying that his track record isn't riddled with holes that we can use to justify the firing, but I don't believe JRob would have been fired right now if AJ Brown were still a Titan.
