BaddKarma
If the feds are gonna go after Favre, fine, then they should hit all of the NFL owners. They should be investigated. Lets round up all the crooks. Start with the banks... Edited September 22, 2022 by BaddKarma IowaOiler
kgsTitan
The amount of welfare fraud that goes on (and Cares Act fraud, for that matter) is so massive that no one would believe the numbers were real if they heard them. Send him to prison. Find people doing this kind of thing and make an example of them is what I say.

We know the wife knew about her. We know what happened in the end was painful and embarassing for all involved.... but we don't know if they were fine with him having his affair as long as no one was getting embarassed publically. From the looks of it all his wife was already done with him and his family. Its not immoral in the least to fuck sluts. Its Anti-christian maybe but it's perfectly human and was/still is religious goals for like a fuck ton of the world. I don't necessarily disagree with any of this. I think the assumption many make on both sides of the political aisle, is that morality is some universal concept. It's not. I don't think it's immoral to fuck whores, or do drugs, or even try to get a volleyball field built for your alma mater. I think it's judgy to claim my morality trumps another, as long as the other isn't directly harming (infringing) someone else. As far as the Favre stuff, I personally could give two shits since he was miss-allocating government funds, something politicians do daily in an attempt to pay off their voters. The problem in the US right now is that both sides want to hold the other to a standard, but not their own side.

As someone who's worked in government for the past 15 years, I can definitely say that there certainly are standards for every single thing imaginable, and entire departments of people set up just to examine the standards, but the accountability part never really occurs. In most cases, it's just laziness, but it IS political in a lot them. chef, and IowaOiler

It's extremely frustrating for those exceeding the standard, and ultimately leads to quality people leaving. Then, when some standard is arbitrarily enforced, the finger-pointing and hypocrisy accusations begin, and for the most part, they are justified. Generally, the reaction to discovering an instance of massive fraud is: let's use this as a learning tool. we'll form a committee to evaluate the oversight and come up with strategies to prevent this type of incident moving forward. One guy in fleet management forgot to close the seal doors to the underground parking garage, and we lost 70 government vehicles in a massive flood. He wasn't immediately terminated. Just offered the option to retire vs face possible termination or suspension/decision-making leave. And a committee was formed to investigate the steps to be taken for severe weather. He liked to bang whores, and he was killed and unable to raise his kids because of it. Directing money from welfare recipients to a build a volleyball court for southern miss is pretty immoral. The debate between what's more immoral reminds me a lot of a quote in The Witcher books: “Evil is Evil. Lesser, greater, middling… Makes no difference. The degree is arbitary. The definition’s blurred. If I’m to choose between one evil and another… I’d rather not choose at all.” Geralt of Rivia Obviously, the point was that both were immoral. Odds are, however, that your belief of which is worse is based, as @SleepingTitan insinuated, on your political beliefs. Popular Post titansfan
Not sure why this has to be considered political.
