Common sense? This is a multi- billion dollar project. There are likely dozens of cameras in and around that site. It’s now been 4 days since the hoax and we’ve yet to hear anything more about it. That alone likely tells you all you need to know. If a honkey was responsible we would already know about it.  
 

Additionally, past precedence would tell us it’s most likely fake. Find me one recent case of this being real and I’ll show you 10 equally abhorrent hoaxes. Statistically, this just doesn’t happen often enough to automatically assume it’s, “real,” this time. One can only cry wolf so many times. Lebron, Jussie, bubba… and dozens of college campus incidents tell us this is a big nothing burger. Racism exists but it doesn’t look like this.

I disagree with the need to state it's a hoax right off the bat. That's ridiculous in my eyes. But there have been hoaxes so that's fair.

I respect your opinion but this my home town and I feel the need to defend it. That shit just doesn’t happen here. And now, unfortunately, we had national news outlets running this bull shit story making us look like a bunch of redneck assholes. If this was in any other city, I would refrain from commenting, but it’s not. To be fair I probably wouldn’t be on another cities message board, but you get the point. I definitely didn’t care enough to comment on the Jussie story at the time because I don’t give a damn about Chicago.

I've lived in the south my entire life. I'm not joking when I say that I've never seen actual racism as it's portrayed. My parents didn't grow up in segregation because by the time they went to K-12, it was finished. 

 

I have heard people say racist shit in a joking way, but it was more pointed toward culture and not putting someone down for their race. I've been on doorknocking teams where the doorknocker was black in a place like Waynesboro or Cookeville TN and experienced it while knocking on someone's door -- but I didn't see it. 

 

I've never heard someone say "we can pay her less cause she's black or a woman" despite hiring or being involved in hiring 100s of people. I do think racism still exists in jury pools though. Black people 100% get worse sentences. You see the racism in comments sections about crimes "another thug" etc. Where a white kid might get the benefit of the doubt or a lighter sentence, the black kid is labelled as a lost cause. 

 

But yeah, honkeys ain't sneaking nooses into construction sites
