It's hilarious how LTF is trying to use the amount of guns confiscated in the capitol building during the attempted coup as some gotcha moment of those guys were not armed. Many of the arrests and charges were made specifically for illegal weapons and explosives, albeit those guys were not cuffed in the rotunda for christ's sake. Some were organized groups who showed up with a specific plan. Members of the alleged plot talked of a heavily armed “quick reaction force” stationed outside D.C. limits ready to provide weaponry if the riot turned violent, but defense lawyers have cast doubt on how much of their planning was just puffery and tough talk. There was a group sitting right outside of DC with heavy arms waiting for the insurrection to turn violent.
