ctm
Cap space isn't an issue. The titans have or can create way more space than they need. They have almost 11 million that is unused this year. Edited December 20, 2014 by ctm
OILERMAN
So you see no reason to take on a huge, bad contract as long as it helps you in any way on the field until you find a suitable replacement. The .... irony ... is ... killing ..... me ... can't survive .... You're trying to twist this into some kind of "They should have kept CJ" argument? RBs are a dime a dozen LOL scine09, and IsntLifeFunny
OILERMAN
BTW, I'd be more than fine just going with Mettenberger in 2015 and not adding a real QB. But there is no real downside to trading for Cutler at this point.
OzTitan
Screw it, get Cutler. The guy will make it really hard to root for the Titans but if it prevents them picking a QB in the 1st, go for it. How funny would it be if Mett then did a Cutler and wanted to be traded. OILERMAN
Sure, why not trade for a bum with a terrible contract? You like bums with terrible contracts, at least sometimes
Jamalisms
I'm more likely to favor a bum with a bad contract if he was at least once elite and great and there's reason to think circumstances are contributing to the fall... as opposed to a bum who's always been a bum. Nash
After going through the 4-5 stages of depression over Cutler overnight, I've come to accept it as a possibility that he may be able to help us next year.. If he can be re-claimed, it will cement Whiz as the "qb whisperer of all time". But if it ends badly, watch out.. My sense of the local fans is that the team needs to declare they are in re-building mode, come watch us grow, and get the fans behind such an effort .. OTOH, because Jay is a Nashvillian, it might do him a world of good to be out of the spotlight of Chicago, and there might just be a home town discount at this point.. in either case, it does provide some interesting chat around TR.. prometheus, Jonboy, and StephenIsLegend
Guest
I can't stand Cutler but over the past few days I've reached the same conclusion as Nash. As long as they don't give up more than a 6th rounder for him I'm okay with the idea. Jonboy, and StephenIsLegend
FRT
Better yet pull a Ayers trade - flip flop a couple of late round spots with the Bears.
big2033
You're trying to twist this into some kind of "They should have kept CJ" argument? RBs are a dime a dozen LOL I'm mostly trying to mess with you ... because it's fun.
TitansWycheck89
Rams will get him.
Nash
ESPN commentator said that the Bears will have to give another player and a pick to a team to get them to take on the contract.. Basically it might be better to just release him
NashvilleNinja
Count me out on Cutler being brought here. I fucking hate the idea. If you have a QB who appears able to get it done you play him. You don't go looking for another guy. You especially don't do that when your head coach is someone who is trying to live down this reputation as flip-floppy whem it comes to QBs. On top of that, this team needs so much help elsewhere it's not even funny. Wasting $15m of it on that fuckstick is absurd. It's going to take as much of that swath of cap space to bring in talent as they can muster. Oman, maybe you're still nursing half an erection left over from a few years ago at the thought of Cutler in a Titans uni, but you needs to rub that shit out and get over it. It's clouding your pov. TitanedUpSince'70
I agree with ya there NN, but I'm gonna cut Oman a little slack until after the xmas rush is over. When I was doing the insane holiday mail/package bit 5 years ago, my head was so cloudy I would have brought in Santa Claus himself to replace VY if I could have. lol
Righteous
Cutler is a loser. He is what he is.
