You see how contradictory this all is from you, right? You can't have it all ways to fit your narrative.

I'll raise my hand on this as well. I liked him as a prospect at RT, not at the position they took him. He's seemingly proven he's at least a competent LT in this league early in his rookie season. This is really what it comes down to. Bell curves are useful in large, population datasets for a reason. At the end of the day, many sigmas of humans in that curve want the comfort of a leader, no matter how it bends their perception, no matter if it is another person or a religious character. Being human is tough. It's easier for nearly all to rely on some sort of leader's conceptual framework and comfort of things to come, even if it logically defies their beliefs. There's comfort in leadership, no matter how great or shitty. We're all guilty of heuristics in our determinations. But it'll be very hard while Twilight fans fight Harry Potter fans and Hunger Games fans tinker in the background.
