  1. His sources in Indy would have him as a top 10 pick after a dark horse team trades up, giving up 3 1st rounders, cases of port wine, and free cruises. The last two are so that he stays out of legal trouble.
  2. That's funny! Obviously, different circumstances and different markets, but I don't know if I'll ever own anything besides a Toyota. They're 5 years behind on a lot of technology bells & whistles, but they'll last 10-15 years longer! Ford had gotten better, but not great. Had a Nissan that was fun to drive, but sold it as soon as it hit 5 years. My folks still have a 1989 pickup (not a Tacoma or T-100, it didn't have a model name) that my brother & I used for our landscaping business years ago. The thing still purs on the first turn of the ignition.
  3. Bongo, do you hate this team? We need you to shit on this pick for it to have any chance. Get back to the drawing board with your narrative.
  4. No energy to fight with this, but these are massive "ifs" when they held essentially the 4th pick on the draft. There were absolutely safer options, and seemingly trade backs with the QB's taken. I won't shit on the pick any further, but seems like rationalizations are flying around. They better be right...
  5. He's not bad but has had had his struggles and isn't a top flight LT by any means, especially relative to his draft position. Love your opinions & analysis, but you appreciate resumes a little too much. A great coach doesn't equate to a great talent evaluator, nor vice versa. Hope I'm wrong, but I'm not trying to rationalize this pick. TBD is a optimistic as I can get with it.
  6. I certainly hope you're correct and still believe sanity will rule the day. But how anyone can be confident with the EC and it coming down to what is realistically a handful of counties in swing states 7 months out, amazes me.
  7. I'm not nearly as informed as you, @tgo I try to keep up, but could you connect the dots on this one?
  8. I've had a former mentor/superior/colleague/friend that I've worked with here and there for a combined 7 years. They took a COO role, crushed it, but stepped aside because they hated the politics of the position. They regularly get C-suite offers, but they don't want it. I always chide them that that's exactly why they need to do the job. She just wants to help people & help others do great things without the bullshit. It's a microcosm on why our brightest minds aren't stepping up to take the political mantle. They realize only a sociopath, in most instances, can do it on this climate. I think Stewart is very similar.
  9. Also, 5M is not nothing, but when we're talking about actual business dealings with billion dollar companies and the potential international bribes to a sitting VP, it's pretty damn miniscule. Let's use some common sense, people. For perspective, the very public Saudi investment to Kushner is 420 times larger. Midsized companies blow through 5 million on shitty ad campaigns all the time.
  10. Fall through like @LongTimeFan trying to nail your wife? Or fall through like your & @Jamalisms podcast? I don't see it being anywhere close to those poor of odds at this point. Just my opinion and I'm just a man.
  11. I like when TGO gets a little spicy. It's like that one bite of mashed potatoes that holds half the pepper - gets the peoples attention. Keep it spicy, my friend!
  12. In regards to Trump for most men that think he's a macho dick, some type of hero, or they're just voting for his policy, I've booked it down to this line statement: For such a great man, he sure seems like a whiny bitch with a lot of excuses. It's paused a couple of guys I know at this point. No idea if it'll make a difference in the voting booth, but it's as succinct as I could make it.
  13. JFC, you're both assholes sharing a goodnight kiss, waiting to wink just a bit harder at this point.
  14. I love this. He's a crook getting his justice. But how desperate does this make him? Will he just ride the wave until the election hoping he regains power or does he start doing some dumb shit that no one had even thought about? Honest question. I'm glad justice is being served in some regard, but how much more wild could he get now?
  15. Jesus Christ. The author of the story and the Twitter account are the same damn person.
  16. Oh fuck, this isn't a full discussion yet? I shudder to imagine the lengths of a full discussion.
  17. People with millions actually do. Usually for tax purposes, but also because they can. No idea on this specif situation, but it's really common in that stratosphere. Talk to any CPA or financial advisor that has even a modicum of experience with moderate to high wealth individuals.
  18. Says they person on the left! You had to bring it back to politics! Continue the fight!
  19. Also, @Little Earl, did you just Google "racist democrats" to prove some sad point? You only do that if mentally you're aware of your in-group also doing some shit and you try to deflect.
  20. Would like to know where I said or championed any of the sort. Bigots & racists fall on both sides of the aisle and always have and always will. However, the current Republican party is far more agreeable and open to these behaviors in larger numbers. Notice I'm not saying all Republicans are bigoted, but there is a large cohort of Trumpers & Conservatives alike that fly that flag with pride out loud or in the safety of their peers. Now you can retort this by listing the idiot groups on the left that are unhinged about Palestine or think all things Caucasian are racist. But most folks on the left think they are just that, idiots making noise. They get a ton of press, not a ton of backing. Pointless conversation to have with you, @Little Earl because your mind is made up. I also have a pretty damn good feel of the Republican party as I was raised very conservative Christian, in a "conservative" political bubble with most friends & family still in that bubble to various degrees. I understand when they are alluding to shit they know they shouldn't say out loud. Lastly, I'm center left. Considered myself open to either party even while Republicans lost their minds over Obama (and we all know why). 2016 changed that script and I won't be voting for any republican at the federal or state level this cycle and probably not any upcoming cycles unless they get their shit together in short order. How the fuck did I get dragged into this again? I just think you're a general fucking idiot, Earl.
  21. God dammit, Nimrod-a was right in front of him and he can't even get the shitty nickname correct. This guy.
