  1. I'm not going to recount each of the past 10 or so posts, but I'll add my 2 cents. After 2016, It's fair to think anything is damn near possible politically. Fair to have a healthy respect and concern about where the tides are shifting. But this ain't it... Tuberville isn't a brilliant political strategist. He's a somehow popular football coach that is also a religious zealot. Tea leaves end there. If you want to believe Bannon and some these wacko, hard right people are pulling the puppet strings for something like that in dark rooms, well... that's certainly your prerogative. They're liars, some might be trying, but they're consistently not that smart. I'm not diving into that rabbit hole, and honestly, this isn't too far from some of the right-wing nonsense I hear. You're not a part of the solution and those of you worried about this specific event are about two phases away from looking for JFK Jr. in Dallas.
  2. Oh, interesting. Hadn't seen that piece of it yet. Hadn't been keeping up with that much either.
  3. Gotta admit that I put the $100 down for this when it came out due to 20% curiosity and 80% hope that some sucker would but it off at a 20% premium. Rethinking that $100 now.
  4. Very few "true" practicing Christians left in the U.S. relative to the prior two generations. Half that still exist are what you just described above.
  5. I agree with the sentiment, but have we not learned anything from recent actions? They're essentially firing bb's at tanks with these drones. If American casualties continue to grow, there needs to be a response. However, there's also a display of toughness by swatting these attacks away like the pests they are and giving them the middle finger along the way. Would love to say, "give em hell", but things are pretty damn precarious across the board right now.
  6. Case in point, @Little Earl's two ex-wives. They know all about that shit.
  7. I mean, this seems mostly like political theatre, right? It's a tightrope walk under normal circumstances, not to mention 11 months until election.
  8. @Little Earl Your savior still hates you. You derive your scripture and beliefs from your politics. The definition of a modern pharisee. Just have to remind you occasionally.
  9. I know I tend to acquiesce a bit on this forum. I just don't currently have the time or energy at this point in time to start and finish fights. Nor do I think I'm an expert at anything and everything, like most of you shit cans. But I do appreciate this discourse about Reagan in this thread. He was before my time, so I've just heard "City on a Hill" or his screw ups in various contexts. Trickle down economics is still fucking over Americans as a whole, but I think he'd be surprised and ashamed at the lengths it has gone to. Anyway, good viewpoints @begooode
  10. File this under shit I never needed to see. Fuck, that's creepy. And why is Epstein shirtless? That didn't raise any concerns even back then?
  11. 68 is as far off from 78 as your earlobes are from your asshole or your hand is from a drink, not that much difference.
  12. Yes, one is 3 years older, has very stiff joints, and tries to, if not accomplishing, activities that a lot of the younger population, unfortunately, cannot do. He also makes frequent verbal slips. The other is overweight and loves fast food while making just as many slips in speech as any candidate in history. He may have more energy, many aging people do in instances, doesn't mean they're all there or well physically. Anyone with a brain could tell this isn't ideal and still discern that neither is LeBron James.
  13. Doing some elementary math, you love to say you donated to Carter's campaign as your claim to unbiased worldviews while harping on Cuba... clearly you're not too far off from 80. So no, I don't think many people would enjoy attending or subjecting themselves to your medical practice. Safe to say, no one is happy with either candidate's age, but they're 3 years apart. Idiotic to have a double standard on this topic.
  14. I rolled my eyes so hard at Rick Scott's recent $3M ad campaign that they're currently looking inwards at how much of a shit I have left to give for this country. My God. https://floridapolitics.com/archives/640358-rick-scott-debuts-3m-ad-campaign-telling-floridians-theyre-losing-our-country/ Think they've only found a sticky pellet or two left in me...
  15. You have a history of elaborating points that I may disagree with while not being an annoying dick, so it makes it easy. Say stupid, willfully ignorant, or openly biased things repeatedly, I have no problem entering the Thunderdome - think @IsntLifeFunny told me to take it easy on @headhunter when I first started posting before he also joined that particular beat down.
  16. @Justafan didn't mean to badger, nor have I countered anything. Disagree with about a third of what you offered, which is less than I expected, but was genuinely curious for your opinions. No other intentions there besides looking for a different viewpoint.
  17. Knowing that I'll probably disagree with 50-66% of your opinion, I'm actually interested, not to argue. I'll take it carte blanch and won't argue if that's your request.
  18. Gotcha, thanks for grounding this a bit. Sadly, I think you're right because of the EC. Regardless, I'm fairly frightened about what may occur if Trump loses outright OR if Biden wins the popular while losing the EC. I don't look forward to the threats either way.
  19. Agreed. As mentioned, I'm politically very centrists, but being raised in Nashville has spurned me. I have NY in-laws that are sick of democrats because of their experience. And are for Trump because of local politics, not federal. It's an odd experiential juxtaposition. I'm sure chef and Justafan have a more global view, but that also doesn't mitigate the regional view.
  20. You're an incredibly bright and insightful poster, but the crowd isn't piling on here. No one is asking for you to say, "Biden or die!" But if you think the threats from the left and right are equal, you're in an irrational bubble of your own - casting stones from a false sense of superiority and "objectivity"
  21. The threats from the left have no power, a voice at most. The sane left members of congress keep them pretty well neutered. But the right likes to harp on it constantly. Meanwhile, the insane right is in complete power. There's millions of dollars pouring into The Heritage Foundation and Trump to turn this country into an acting dictatorship, no different than Netanyahu in Isreal. Think the point is to not equivocate a mosquito bite with a bullet hole. I'm centrist as they come, but the Republican party is currently dead, replaced by those that want total power. Get your point, but bitch about the left once we survive democracy.
  22. Oh, like many of his fellow Republicans, he's deep in the closet. Thought that was apparent from day one. GOP: you can grab on teenagers and rape others, but just make sure they're women if you're running for office!
  23. I'd love to hear the explanation for that retort while also not giving a damn.
