They were going to cut him outright then teams started calling about a trade. Either the Browns leaked the info to generate interest or they lucked into a trade. No1TitansFan
Corey Coleman has to be out buying a Gordon voodoo doll, he gets drafted to replace Gordon, gets traded away when he comes back, and then gets cut by his new team to make room for him when his new team trades for Gordon. wiscotitansfan
Tormentedrose
They basically get maybe the most talented reciever to ever play for no risk. This talk about how he can't make it a full season is pointless. They gave up a 5th and if he screws up and doesn't play 10 games they basically get the pick back. This is insane. Yeah, I can't believe it either. I can see that 5th or 4th round would be value, but with no risk? Jesus. And their no talk of if his upside pays off the Pats owe a higher pick. Absolutely tragic. You'd think it'd be the Patriots given Gordon's baggage, but look at the two teams involved in this trade. Which team was 0-16 last year and which one was in the Super Bowl for the 451st time? A number of us saw Hard Knocks this year. Does Hue Jackson strike confidence? Does the GM? They've played the Steelers and Saints tough in the first couple games and they look like they've probably, after eons of futility, fixed their QB drought. But still... it's the Browns.
