Especially because he's the type of secondary player the modern defenses are looking for, a hybrid safety/slot corner that can play the run, blitz, and still offer good coverage. Face Posted August 10, 2018 Report Share Posted August 10, 2018 None of these secondary injuries are key, but if he is out for the year that's Tye Smith, who played well in the playoffs & was having a very nice camp, Cyprien, and now the rook, who we traded up to get. nine Posted August 10, 2018 Report Share Posted August 10, 2018 It didn't appear to be a major catastrophic injury, and it seems unlikely that they would decide his season is over before doing an MRI...which they typically don't do until a day or two after a game. I'll remain cautiously optimistic until we hear otherwise. Completely agree about Cruik's potential....especially for next year. Kid looks like he could really be an impact player. Kid looks like he could really be an impact player. it looked like he reached for his pec immediately after the injury occurred, wouldn't be surprised if its a torn/ruptured pec. assuming its the worst case scenario, that is 3 DB's lost for the year that would of been part of the 53 man roster.
