My guess is Faulk was graded significantly higher than anyone else left on their board and they didn't want to risk him going in the 4 picks ahead of them at the time. Makes me wonder if we'd have moved up for Bain if he had fallen far enough. I know his length is subpar, but he's a strong guy who could also move inside. I thought we should have taken the premier pass rusher (Reese) and then used our next pick to draft Boston. I felt like the better value at WR this year was with the "second tier" guys. Boston is a bum and a bust but not sure which order or if the order of bust or bum matters, but he is both.
titansfan
Also many were WRONG about this wide 9 prototype.
EC34
Again, like the positional value at WR and DE. Bailey was the wide 9 type. Boston was the X type. Jets got us on Bailey and Boston wasn't needed after Tate - but Boston slipped into 2nd and could have been paired with Bailey had the board fallen differently. Faulk seems more Femi than wide 9 speed guy. Maybe that was always a misperception. In truth , nobody knows no matter how much time they invested in getting smart. I guess my biggest concern w is simply that it seems we overpaid for a 4 pick move - - but if Faulk hits, no one will care.

First round picks on positions where highly talented players generally don’t make it to free agency. Mythos27, and Callidus

Who knows about the player but the trade is fine IMO. Maybe they did not like Reese perhaps? It is clear the Titans targeted Faulk.

Number9
As long as neither one of them contemplates jumping from a second floor apartment building, missing practice/games or gets injured putting on his uniform-I THINK THE TITANS DID WELL in the 1st round. abenjami
I am mostly trying to decide if Makai Lemon or Keldric Faulk is the least intelligent player in this draft. woolfolksunclesuncle

I have seen opinions about him not being the best on passing plays and getting pushed around at times in the run game.

TampaTitan
I don't remember the last time we finished night 1 and I felt like we absolutely nailed it. Maybe Simmons? The draft is such an unpredictable process for as much time as we all give it our attention lol. Tate was very clearly their plan B to Love, they tried to be as mum as they could during the process and it wasn't until the 11th hour that the Cardinals got a wild hair up their ass to take him themselves so we had to pivot to the next highest graded offensive weapon. The Faulk pick is a value/BPA thing but I'd have rather stuck and picked OG, I'm worried about that spot. Saleh wasn't not gonna at least get one of his guys though and they did tell us they weren't really going to go the "need" route. titansfan, and IsntLifeFunny
