She probably has a boy toy, he gets to play, they never see each other as she lives in Nashville. If she's pissed, it's likely because it's possible he fathered another persons kids and could be financially responsible - taking her money away too- and the fallout of making their secret life public while masquerading as republican/conservative church people. Part of those deals is that you don't embarrass the family or make the partner look bad.
