GB did a great job getting production out him. More than I originally thought possible. But he bombed out with the Titans and was shipped out. He's also far from a guaranteed reliable starter. I think someone will sign him to start but I'm not where close to thinking it will work out. We can go back to the draft thread and glady see who was wrong. Was he a viable replacement for Tannehill? Fuck no, they drafted a QB the very next year MadMax, Callidus, Thrill, and 1 other

Thrill
If the argument for Willis is that he had some ok passing games and ran the ball well with 4-5 really good WRs/TEs, a strong running game, and a good offensive line, then I think he’d only really be a value add to a team with everything but a QB and only as a guy who can just do enough to maybe win 9 games. Realistically he’s still very bad and just had an awesome team that allowed him to take off and run more.

Mythos27
Happy for Malik. Also happy he's someone else's project. The Anthony Richardson reclamation project will be another I'll be intrigued to watch from afar. Thrill, KogaShuko, and Number9

Thrill
Willis was one of the worst QBs I've ever seen with the Titans. He was completely unable to throw with anticipation. I have to imagine his success with LeFleur was in large part due to pre-determined reads and good receivers who got open easily. I just can't imagine Bobby Slowick is going to get anywhere near that result with their putrid offensive line and really only one good WR. Willis and Achane running the option will be fun though. He was also not asked to throw it more than 20 times a game. Starkiller
titanruss
Willis was already on the way up and much improved before he left here. The plan for him - stated like 35trillion times - was to not even see the field until year 3. We of course ruined that plan. He was a deer in the headlights and once things slowed down and he got a decent surrounding cast he began to look like a 3-4 year NFL vet backup. The lack of patience with patience projects really kills my patience with nfl franchises. Number9
