Some of us have been saying it, but whether or not you love Ridley at his contract,  the real question is can he be upgraded for the same cost? By the time you eat his contract and pay these newer market rates, you're likely overpaying for a worse WR.

They also just brought back Bryce Oliver as depth. I'm sure they will add 1 or 2 rookie WRs to the mix also. I'm sure they'd love an elite #1 WR, but none of those guys are available. J.Jennings should ideally be a #3; one of the classic mistakes in free agency is signing backup players to be starters -- especially signing a #3 to be the #2, or worse: s #2 WR to be you're #1.

I'm not saying Jennings won't sign; I don't know. But he's not a great replacement for Ridley. He would be nearly 20M a year to be a possession, blocking WR that doesn't dictate coverage or threaten downfield.

iMO, the most convincing argument for Ridley is that he's a vet, ready to roll opening day and most importantly the Titans are in win now mode with veteran additions. He would also buy time for a rookie to develop.

His injury and drops are the counterveiling argument.

Only free agents really of note that I would really have much interest now:

WR
Jauan Jennings

Deebo Samuel (buy-low)

Christian Kirk (buy-low)

Gabe Davis (buy-low)

RG

Kevin Zeitler
Elijah Wilkinson

Greg Van Roten

Jonah Williams (move him to RG)

C
Andre James

Evan Brown

LB

Bobby Okereke

Bobby Wagner

EDGE
Joey Bosa

Derek Barnett

AJ Epenesa

Cam Jordan

iDL

Sebastian Joseph-Day (if he will come back for cheap)

DaQuan Jones

Zeitler, jennings, okereke are the easy fits.

Im not sure which edge would work best. Bosa is walking wounded. Epenesa is another power edge which we are loaded on. Idk what jordan is at this stage of his career. Havent been following barrnet.

Anyone got opinions on the last 2?
