If his goal was to kill her then he did a great job because he did so while avoiding even minor injury to himself. If his goal was to save himself then he would have just been interested in getting out of the way. That close range, a car lurching forward isn't going to be suddenly not be a threat to life because the driver is dead. Evidenced by the fact it kept driving until it crashed. If he was actually in danger the he would have been hurt. Instead he got out of the way and then killed her. Now I know the standard legally for him will be whether he felt like he was in danger and that's fine, anyone hoping for this corrupt justice system to come to any other finding is dreaming.
