But this does happen all the time in traffic stops, and officers never get in trouble in those cases either. You can't hit the officer with your car, even if you really are only trying to flee/elude. Shes probably been putting off 5 thinking the new one was right around the corner. To think… this senseless tragedy could have been avoided. That close range, a car lurching forward isn't going to be suddenly not be a threat to life because the driver is dead. Evidenced by the fact it kept driving until it crashed. If he was actually in danger the he would have been hurt. Instead he got out of the way and then killed her. Now I know the standard legally for him will be whether he felt like he was in danger and that's fine, anyone hoping for this corrupt justice system to come to any other finding is dreaming.
