BUT if you liked the rest of the movie the plot hole matters way less. I think I pointed this one out for Heat , but why would a group of professional thieves who value competence hire Waingro who is a grade A (and crass) fuck up? So if I start wondering why they allow this teacher to stay at the school, it makes me think there is something wrong with the admin or the whole town. And little things like newspapers in 2025? Use the kids and people more as weapons. They cut a lot from the movie. The "weapons" thing was dumb as hell. The gun over the house... just calling them that.. etc. They were only used as weapons like 1 or two times in the movie. The main and most prevalent use was as batteries for the old witch. Apparently in the first cuts the "weapons" were used much more like weapons. But I thought it was enjoyable overall. It's hard to like any scary movies anymore as you get older.
