He’s a very good blocker & while he’s a tad lumbering he does have excellent hands. It just seemed awfully expensive at the time but you have a point about some of the other TE contracts. It was also a bit shocking to see the run on TE’s in the draft. It seemed like every other pick in the 2nd & 3rd rds was a TE, many of them with almost no body of work as receivers. Pass game production for college TE’s is very deceiving but alot of these kids were basically blocking TE’s. I’ve always thought the position was very underrated, our TE’s were a huge reason CJ went for 2000 yards for example. But it does seem like ALOT of copy catting going on.
