Titans Offseason Discussion Thread

Recommended Posts

Idk about all that. Seems less a plot to keep Americans sick and more a plot to keep their wallets thick.

Anyway, I thought it was "big pharma" who were the ones who wanted to keep Americans sick. It is their profit model, after all.

Major health organizations, including the American Heart Association and nutrition researchers, state there is no conclusive scientific evidence that pure seed oils cause inflammation or chronic disease in humans. In fact, major medical bodies generally consider them heart-healthy

Some wellness influencers warn against consuming seed oils, blaming them for a range of health problems and characterizing them as toxic. Scientific studies consistently show otherwise.

The left gets upset about chemicals in food and pesticides on food, claiming risks are overlooked for profit. The right gets upset about random foods being the devil and a sign of a grand conspiracy by Mr Nefarious Big Food because ... just because.

Both sides! Both sides!

I refuse to give up hope because it's mine and it's all I have.

Maybe the guy will be an idiot savant when it comes to football. Maybe there's a long-standing feud between NFL players and seed oils and he's not full of shit that "they" are happy. Maybe this stuff really is what's been holding the franchise back all these years.

I don't know. I don't care. He's still the one who's going to lead us to the promised land. Fuck you all. You will not break me.

He's not talked about a lot but he has a resume with production in real games

Osborn is the new Van Jefferson. A WR who was productive early on in his career but hasn’t produced for a few years.

Political brain rot really is an epidemic in this country. Not everything has to be about a fucking war between tribes. People could just be concerned about their health regardless of what sports team/politcial team they root for.

It was less of an issue before conspiracy nutters took over the country. But we are drowning in stupid fucking anti-science conspiracy theories that were weaponized by a single political party. So yes, it did become a war between tribes.

I didn't know much about this seed oil controversy so I googled it

The "seed oil conspiracy" is a fringe wellness theory that links the consumption of vegetable oils (such as canola, soybean, and corn oil) to chronic health issues, claiming they are part of a nefarious plot by "Big Food" and pharmaceutical elites to keep Americans sick.

The MAGA Connection:
This nutritional crusade gained massive traction within the MAGA and broader "Make America Healthy Again" (MAHA) movement. High-profile political figures, including Robert F. Kennedy Jr. (who was selected by President Donald Trump to oversee federal health and agriculture policies), have heavily championed the narrative. They argue that processed seed oils are "toxic poisons" that cause widespread obesity, heart disease, and inflammation

I'm sure that's true. It sounds like something RFK would come up with, but I follow a ton of nutrition and health experts online, and I have access to H2F trainers and nutritionists in the military too, and a TON of them believe that seed oils are not good for you, so either the conspiracy is super widespread or maybe there are just a bunch of people concerned about their health.

Regardless, who fucking cares? Do we really believe that Saleh, a Muslim American who grew up in Dearborn, Michigan, is a diehard Trumper?

GTFO.

We know he’s a big conspiracy theorist. Kittle even said so in an interview.

Is he a Trumptard? Don’t know.

No he wasn’t

“I talked to Saleh more this year than I did in the (previous) four years that I was with him. I’m talking like twice a week. I would just go sit in his office from anywhere from five to 30 minutes and we would just talk. He’s a big conspiracy theory guy. I’ll say that.”
