He beat defenders to the corner on multiple plays. He routinely got the yards that were blocked for him, meaning if the blocking was good for 5 yards, he got 5 yards, and there were multiple plays where he got more than what he should have. He also displayed his receiving skills in this game, as well as his ability to step up and be a physical blocker in the pass game (his chip on Bain specifically comes to mind). He didn't break a 85 harder, but no RB does that in every game. You can go look up any HOF RB's game film in college and find games like this. He touched the ball 14 times in this game. He had 30 yards rushing and 26 yards receiving. What makes backs like Love special is if he had 20 touches that 30 yards rushing could easily become 120 yards, and that 26 yards receiving could become 65 yards. You couldn’t be more wrong. Yes he has some explosion but I expect a top 5 talent to have much better stats than what he put up. He also doesn’t run with much power Not only this game but look at his games throughout his career against similar talented defenses. The stats are not very good

The notion Oliver would keep a guy from developing is laughable. Good teams always have WRs in the pipe line, especially because they can be found anywhere in the draft. If you can’t draft one of Tate/Tyson/Lemon/Concepcion/Cooper/Boston, then it’s probably not worth drafting another. Save it for a WR rich 2027 draft. 1 hour ago, BeedoeLaw said: Agreed, Concepcion or Boston are the only ones I could see still being available at 35. Boston would be my choice if they went WR in that scenario. Just because I feel like Dike and Concepcion are redundant. 1 hour ago, OILERMAN said: I totally agree on passing on a WR if they don't get a legit starting option like Tate. @Callidus Would you just look at this?^ They're startin to come around, bruh... The tweet you quoted listed Oliver first... either way only Dike showed he deserves significant reps this upcoming season. Borgonzi isnt going to ignore WR because he likes Ridley, Ayomanor, and Oliver. He'll add to the room if they like the fit and create competition. The premise is another Day 3 WR is at best equivalent to Dike/Ayomanor and will likely start behind all the other WR, including Oliver who will have a strong special teams role keeping him active on game day. So at that point is it worth wasting a 4th round pick that could be spent at another position of need for likely a WR5 or WR6 most of the year? If you're talking about the Herndon tweet he talked about Aymamor and Dyke being active to play WR and Oliver as a ST player. Which I didn't even read. There are others even later who are worth developing to fill the 6th WR spot. It won't take much to beat out XR for that spot. Popular Post OILERMAN
I believe the premise is if they don't take a WR early like Tate there is no reason to take one in the early rounds. They have other more pressing needs. Does that mean they won't draft one in the 6th round, no. This team still needs front seven help and need two starters on the interior OL. titanskick8851, Nash, smokeater, and 2 others

Same with Oliver . This team needs to add more pass catchers (a TE too). it doesn’t have to be round 1 or 2 but they do have to continue to add to it. oldschool
