Titans Get The #4 Pick In The Draft

Oh, you mean like Ja’Marr Chase (1) vs Justin Jefferson (2) at LSU, huh? Yeah, that could never happen.

Two guys that ran 4.3's, had elite traits, broke out at a young age, demanded high target share despite other talent on the roster, and had like 1600 yard seasons in college even though they were #2s? Uh yeah, bad comparison.

Love immediately makes you a more explosive team. He's going to add 10-20 TDs a year through the run and pass game. He's going to upgrade your pass protection. He's going to force teams to account for

The Jaguars gave up what again for Travis Hunter? This notion we should take less capital is kind of mind boggling. If a team wants to move then they need to pay the full price.

Jeremiyah Love (#1 ranked RB, #2 ranked overall)

Overview

Hometown: St. Louis, MO

Birthday: May 31, 2005

Age: 20.9

Jersey: No. 4

High School: Christian Brothers

Year: Third-year junior

A two-year starter at Notre Dame, Love became the featured weapon in offensive coordinator Mike Denbrock’s scheme and in 2025 helped the Irish average 40-plus points per game for the first time in 113 years. He averaged 6.9 yards per carry in both 2024 and 2025 and combined for an FBS-best 40 total touchdowns over the past two seasons (eight more than No. 2 on the list). He became the first Notre Dame player to win the Doak Walker Award as the nation’s top running back.

With his easy acceleration, Love can excel on perimeter runs or when given a runway to create big plays (49 plays of 10-plus yards ranked third most in the FBS in 2025). He has a compact, linear build and plays with the physicality and run strength to stay on his feet through contact. He also has the short-area cutting skills to sidestep defenders without downshifting his speed. His tendency to freelance can backfire at times, but he did a better job on his junior tape following blocks downhill and staying north-south (his first downs increased and the home runs were still there).

Strengths

Explosive athlete who can burst through holes and excel on the perimeter

One of just four running backs weighing at least 212 pounds to run a 4.36 40-yard dash or faster over the last 20 years

Electric feet to cut laterally, adjust his path and escape grasp of defenders (4.5 yards after contact per attempt, third best in FBS in 2025)

Uses signature hurdle in open field — he wasn’t allowed to hurdle in high school, so he’s making up for lost time

Stays on his feet through contact and has unique ability to catch his balance (see his remarkable touchdown run vs. Penn State in 2024)

Showed improved run patience in 2025, allowing combination blocks to do their thing

Accelerates into contact and routinely falls forward

Battles on every run and grinds out more tough yards than are to be expected

Shows body control at top of routes and when adjusting to the football as a pass catcher

Can run seams or go routes; runs away from linebackers on screens and angle routes

Doesn’t lack for physicality as a blocker, either in pass protection or as a lead blocker

Outstanding touchdown production (first Notre Dame player in more than 30 years with multiple rushing and receiving touchdowns in the same game)

Quiet, introverted personality; very particular about his surroundings (required his own room when he enrolled as a freshman)

Weaknesses

Goes big-game hunting at times and bypasses developing lanes to try to get outside

Hard-charging runner and smashes the accelerator, but could use a dash more tempo

Can do a better job setting up second- and third-level moves

Takes care of the football — fumbled just once (zero lost fumbles) in three years with the Irish

Bad habit of jump-skipping when catching passes

Bodies up defenders in pass protection, but recognizing blitzes has been a work in progress

Suffered sprained meniscus in right knee (Nov. 2024), which limited his volume in the College Football Playoff

Carnell Tate (#1 ranked WR, #10 overall)

Overview

Hometown: Chicago, IL

Birthday: January 19, 2005

Age: 21.3

Jersey: No. 17

High School: IMG Academy

Year: Third-year junior

A two-year starter at Ohio State, Tate was an outside receiver (88.9 percent of snaps aligned wide) in former offensive coordinator Brian Hartline’s pro-style, balanced scheme. Playing in a program full of NFL receiving talent, he teased his ability as a freshman and was a solid contributor as a sophomore before emerging as a junior as one of college football’s best pass catchers. Tate caught 77.3 percent of his targets in 2025, best among the 183 FBS receivers with an average depth of target of 12 yards or more.

Thanks to his tall, angular frame, Tate eats up ground with long strides and uses gear changes to establish leverage or create vertical separation. He has only average snap out of breaks, but wins more with pacing and body control than suddenness. He tracks with a sense of calm when the ball is in the air and skillfully syncs his movements and catch-point adjustments. He climbs the ladder with ease, and the ball doesn’t move when it hits his hands (among the 168 FBS receivers with at least 66 targets in 2025, Tate was one of only four who didn’t register a drop).

Strengths

Tall, lithe athlete with outstanding body length

Fluid off the line and quickly attacks leverage of the coverage

Top-end speed on film is better than stopwatch time

Comfortably adjusts and extends to make confident catches outside frame

Terrific hand/finger strength to high point and protect the ball, allowing him to finish through contact

Proficient on 50-50 balls (caught 12 of 14 contested targets in 2025)

Crafty route runner, especially on vertical planes to stem double moves or sell stops/comebacks

Proven downfield threat — No. 2 in the FBS with nine catches of 40-plus yards in 2025

Averaged 32.5 yards per touchdown reception in 2025

Uses detailed route steps and body control to sink and turn better than most his size

Elite sideline awareness and balance to toe tap or use his length to bring throws back

Adept at slipping past press; quickly gains upper hand

Productive, despite never being WR1 (one of just 15 FBS receivers with 1,600-plus receiving yards and 13-plus touchdown grabs the past two seasons)

Weaknesses

Drew a lot of one-on-one coverage because of Jeremiah Smith’s gravitational pull

Lean-muscled and can stand to add more bulk to his frame

Average speed and suddenness for the position by NFL standards

Marginal run-after-catch threat if not given a runway (won’t force many missed tackles)

Leggy at times getting off press and can be hemmed by long-armed jams

Wasn’t asked to do a lot of underneath dirty work over the middle

Missed three games as a junior because of a leg injury (Nov. 2025)

This guy was a late 2nd rounder.  I'd love for someone to point out to me the vastly superior traits of Tate which make him worthy of being selected nearly 50 spots ahead of him .

I expect them to take Love at 4. Tate I think will be plan B if Love gets picked ahead of 4.

I think the only way we stick and pick Love or Tate at 4 is if we don't get the trade back offer we want when Bailey and Reese are gone...

Was coming here to post this. I know CB isnt the biggest need, but Scott just seems like a Saleh guy. I think 35 might be a little rich for him, but if we trade down from there I would be fine taking him anywhere else in the 2nd Round. I don't see anyway he makes it to 66 unfortunately.

It is the most likely scenario since anyone coming up will trade with AZ first and foremost to jump us.
We would need someone wanting to come up to jump Cleveland for Tate or an OT or someone wanting to jump NYG for Styles/Downs.

Pickens went that late because people thought he was a psycho.

Has there been any evidence we're looking to trade down? I think we take Love or Tate at 4 even if one of the EDGE guys are there.

And by and large people have been proven right.

Also, Pickens isn't in this draft. I love how people keep saying "well, he wouldn't be taken there if so n so were in this draft." If my grandma had a hemi she'd be a Dodge Challenger.

Brugler having Malachi Fields in his top 10 is interesting. Having Concepcion above Cooper is also interesting, but for the reverse reason. I guess he thinks good coaching could help cure his affliction with skillet hands. He is quite lethal when he finally gets the ball in his hands. Maybe a job for Greg Lewis to really earn his keep with.

But we really already have Concepcion on the roster between Robinson (receiver) and Dike (returner).
