Pretty wild stuff. Our offense is so inept most teams can score 14-20 points and just coast which I am sure has a good bit to do with this. Outside the lowest missed tackle rate and yards after contact which are both nice to see and generally go hand in hand.

I am curious what the math says the sweet spot is. It looks like its close to the league average. With the 2nd, 6th and 7th best teams all being right next to each other, can you link both halves of this chart? 

 

Edit: also cuious if we are any better in 4/5 wide. 

 

Even when you factor in bad teams that are down multiple scores all the time will trend toward being in 11 more since they are passing more often to catch up, The percentage is still nuts. Another thing I'll point out, which I say all the time, The vast majority of teams are in 11 or 12 combined 85-90% of the time. Teams that are in 11 75% or more and have an effective EPA, usually have top 10 QBs. You can't force the issue like Callahan did. Even so, there is no excuse for those trends to have continued under McCoy.

The majority of posts that I read about XR come from anti-XR people. They also tend to be the most dramatic; acting as if anyone is saying the dude is a future superstar. Most people that like the kid just want to see him get a shot. There is no single post, the entire XR thread is the evidence of people going way too hard to quash the notion that a guy on a team as devoid of talent as this one should get a shot. There just aren't enough die-hard, extreme XR supporters on this board to keep this conversation alive without the participation of the detractors. This is a conversation that could've been killed simply by not giving it oxygen but people chose to do the opposite of that.

Garrett largely has himself to blame for that in being a big factor in them dumping Baker Mayfield. 
 

Plus he could have gotten himself traded to a contender and instead took the money.

While he may not have liked him I would be shocked if it wasn't more than a happy by product in their mind. They thought watson was going to be some massive uplift for the team when they had the right qb all along.

this is the part that I hate... everyone is quick to say that none of the crazy talk or fake hype that surrounds him is his fault...it's just the talking mouthpieces or crazy fans that stir it up.

 

while he's careful to say the right things if you pay close enough attention it's obvious he believes all the shit that his supporters are throwing out there 

 

he thinks he deserves special treatment cause of his last name.

sadly Watson still probably their best option at QB
