Cam has been throwing to 4th round rookies. He got Calvin back for a play or so and lost one of the rookies. His HC sucked and got fired. His OL is meh at best. They played the toughest schedule in th

Come on be just a little realistic Borgonzi is not paying a 32y/o WR north of $20 million next season when he is coming off a broken leg.

Forget Pickens Borgonzi is not dealing with that head case.

I actually think this makes it more likely he stays on the roster. The worst of his contract is over and this team can ill afford to remove NFL level receivers off the team. His day as a fringe #1 receiver are over but I assume he'll be back as a veteran piece who can start and make some deep plays.

Also plenty of other players they can use the Post 6/1 Cut designation on if they want move past other guys earlier (Sneed, Cushenberry, Barton)

Im just really concerned about the lack of quality NFL worthy contributing talent we have on the team.

I think we jettison Sneed-- he's now a legal risk on top of being unreliable due to durability. Cushenberry has declined and may be worth more as contract savings than playing. Ridley, for as frustrating as he is, is a capable NFL receiver when youre not asking him to be a #1.

We cut Ridley and we're probably spending the offseason looking for another receiver like him (and thats on top of trying to actually get multiple NFL quality talent on the WR depth chart).

Hes 32 and has a high cap number.  You can replace that production for less.

Consider the source here, guys. Ridley has about a good of a chance of being here next year as Ayomanor does of being an all pro.

Hey man its fine, im not emotional about it and im not a Ridley fan. Im just thinking about the longterm roster, and today I saw a team that didn't have any talent on the field when Ridley and Dike got hurt and when Ayomanor got banged up. We can't remove everyone-- we have to identify who gets to stay.

Consider the source sure but lets think too.

Free agent WRs:

Alec Pierce - Projected 4 year $88 million contract

George Pickens - Projected 4 year $100 million

Romeo Doubs - 3 year $50 million contract coming off a projected 63 rec, 800yd, 7td year.

Those are your top options in free agency. Good talent but nothing stellar. And (as the two previous offseasons taught us) you have to overpay in free agency. I dont think of those receivers outside of maybe Pickens is beyond the level of Ridley.

In the draft:

Jordyn Tyson: Will go somewhere between 8-15.

Carnell Tate: Will go somewhere between 8-20.

Makai Lemon: Will go somewhere between 10-25.

Where we are drafting and with our needs as they are, I cant see us using our first pick on a receiver.

At worst, I think Ridley is on our roster through until at least June when we know fully what we have on the roster.
