Game Thread: Week 11 Titans vs Texans

I thought Ward played well yesterday although he did have some inaccurate throws downfield. Not sure what he's supposed to do when he has to throw to Jefferson, a slumping Ayomanor, and Kinsey as his only WRs for a half against an awesome Texans Def.

Good to see some of the younger guys see an uptick in snaps yesterday

Yeah im not ready to give up on him. He has talent and while I do think he was overdrafted for where we got, I do believe he has longterm starting ability. 

 

I think a new coaching staff, assuming its the right hire, will do wonders for him. Whoever the coach is must bring a culture of accountability

He was flying around at the very least. They sent him in blitz a few times and he was smacking dudes around. Didn’t really notice him in coverage.

Regarding Latham. Need to go back and watch just him on the offensive snaps but in real time it never appears that he's playing as well as these numbers suggest, to me. MAYBE he comes on the 2nd half of this year and takes a 3rd year leap like Skoronski did but it's asking a lot imo. Something more seems to be going on with him, and that's without mentioning the stuff with Simmons.

Seemed like the defense was simplified a bit, but from what I saw on tv, he played very well in his first start. Didn't make any bone headed mistakes that we've grown accustomed to and played the run well. Dude was flying all around the field and even rushed the QB from the defensive end spot a couple of times. 

 

Simmons on the DL, Gray on the LB level and KWJ in the secondary are going to be awesome going forward as the building blocks for a great defense in the future. You need playmakers at each level and these guys are the foundation for that formula.

Cam's college RT, Francis Mauigoa, will likely be drafted in the mid-1st. Would be an interesting trade back scenario if this group wants to move Latham to RG.

At least three of the six incompletions for Helm were either flat out drops or balls that could've been caught off the top of my head.  Point being he's getting open.

General rule of thumb. Don’t draft Alabama OL high. They are often man-children who peak in college.
