Nothing to see here. Dont be part of the bean counter's mob. Besides the fact I'm obviously being light hearted about it, there is definitely a trend. Robinson- extended and fired within a year. Vrabel- extended and fired within a year. Carthon-extended and fired within a year. Staff- same thing. She's diversifying her options on who to extend and fire! Or at least I am light hearted about it. I think she deserves criticism, but she isn't some terrible owner. Carthon and Jrob were extended well before that. Jrob can't explain but carthons came with a big fat promotion. You guys are just seeing what you want to see. I'd rather laugh at the facts while not really caring that much. And yeah, it isn't the same, but it is funny. They should have fired Callahan into the sun along with his B squad coaching staff in the offseason. Justafan, and ChesterCopperpot1
Tungtide
Mike Borgonzi came here from KC. He surely must be looking around at all of this thinking it's a total shit show. I hope their actual plan makes much more sense than we can see from the outside, as right now it is damn near an unwatchable product. The defense is a sieve, and the offense is a mess. I hold out hope for the rookies, but I am sorely disappointed overall. On the radio today they showed that Chig was now the only player left from the 2022 draft, and we know there isn't much left from before that. I now know that having Derek covered many ills this team had for years. They just let way too much talent walk in the name of paying a few stars who aren't here anymore, either. They didnt seriously considering firing Callahan in the offseason. Brinkers comments on callahan have been completely misconstrued by fans and media alike. Brinker said they decided early on Callahan should come back. Thats it.... Secondly extending the staff was done to ensure continuity going into year two so they weren't lame ducks. Most assistants are on 2 year deals. Callahan just sucked and the team was so bad they had to make a move midseason Lol at the overreaction because you dont understand how teams operate. They do this sort of shit all the time. Its not unique to the Titans but dont let facts get in the way of a good narrative. Why is it that this fanbase doesn’t understand these type of things ? It boggles the mind. Every time I try to not say it, they prove me wrong : This is a bottom five fanbase . oldschool
IsntLifeFunny
It's pretty funny how serious you guys take this. And also, yes it was the incorrect move because they all should have got pink slips after last year. Like you said this was to get all the coaches on the same page. I liked easton at first because he was getting some stuff we weren't getting anywhere else but now everything feels like a hatchet job. If there is anyway to spin anything in a negative light he does it. The combined cost of all the positional coaches for 1 more year is hardly a scandal, and making sure the whole band would be together if things did go well was the logical thing to do. If she doesnt care about paying these guys once they are fired why do we care? It isnt cap related. On the devils advocate side it means we can retain some of the guys we want if they fit into the new HC's plans. Bones for sure I would keep around(idk if he was on a two year deal, easton only mentioned the OC and DC on 3 year deals). They may also want to keep around Bo for some continuity for cam. Yes i know they just could have extended anyonr they wanted to keep at the end of the year instead but this way they have them locked in under contract so they cant just jump ship durring the transition. Also, yes, I know there are not very many guys who would be on this we may want to keep them list. Ill give you all it is a bit comical but this feels like an overaction to something that doesn't really make any difference for anyone but the owner. rns90, and oldschool

I think she has no problem spending money on GM/HC/ coaches. She seems to have no issue with it. Don’t think she wants to make a habit of it though Callidus

Edit: and ya, i doubt she wants to be doing this, but she clearly cares more about trying to fix things than her pocketbook. It's just pretty funny that everyone who gets an extension is summarily fired in this organization within 6 months to a year lol. Aimless Amy Truly no direction and floundering from one thing to the next on a moment to moment basis. She does this constantly. If you get an extension, start packing your bags. That's the most likely person to be fired. Truly a short-sighted, rudderless boat. My first impression of her was that she was kinda retarded and had no business directing a billion $ corp. I convinced myself of her acumen based on recent events that were the result of luck and not really any decision she directed. What happened with Jrob et al will appear again and again until someone else is in charge.

nine
Most assistant coaches are on 2-year contracts....so for Callahan's staff, this was the final year of their contracts. The organization had two options in front of them: A) Take a "wait and see/prove it" approach, leaving the coaching staff uncertain if they'll still have a job next year, or B) Extend the staff by a year and provide a sense of job security so they can focus on the job. IMO, Bud Adams would have taken option A. AAS went with option B. AvgJoe
