rumor is Amy was the one demanding all the wr screens

Why hire Brinker and give him total control over football decisions if you're going to meddle and make decisions like this.    She's just like her dad if this story is true and there is litt

It's 1 of 32. It is going to attract a quality candidate. The bears fired Matt Eberflus midseason and hired Ben Johnson.    This whole notion of "no one is going to want the job" is bullshit

AAS is the same owner who went six straight years without a losing season by the way.  Was she a good owner then?

You don't have to exercise patience when the team is playing well. Everyone involved looked good when Tannehill was playing out of his mind. The flaws got exposed when the talent level fell off. AAS isn't a bad owner but making decisions based on your level of embarrassment is not wise. If you listen to J-Rob she knew fully well that AJ was getting traded and yet, him stunting on us lit the fuse for his firing at that moment. This is concerning behavior.

Vrabel was 6-18 remember that. He got fired justified. Vrabel stays you’re stuck with Levis as your QB.

The Browns were justified in firing Belichick. Being able to justify a firing doesn't necessarily mean it's the right call though I admit that it is more often than not.

They actually weren't. BB had turned that team around, gone to the playoffs etc... Newsome fired him because of the move to a new city.

The Patriots were justified in firing Pete Carroll.

She needs to be evaluated on the entirety of her tenure.  We can’t cherry pick.

plus she’s gets credit for the 6year run, and blame for how it ended

That’s the nature of the NFL.  She wasn’t the one who drafted poorly and failed to restock.  That’s why the Titans are where they are now.  It has absolutely nothing to do with ownership.

I’m confident now that Amy will do right and let the guys she hired build the team and make the football decisions. No more meddling or being influenced by the media or YouTube. These are the salad days Titans fans….

Lol okay. I'll ask again

jrob- bad hire? or he simply fell off toward the end of his tenure?

Vrabel - bad hire? or he simply hit his ceiling and forced his way out?

Carthon - bad hire? yes

Callahan - bad hire? yes

Brinker - bad hire? jury is out

Borgonzi - bad hire? jury is out

JRob was extended, then fired a few months later. Lots of the reasons people cite happened before he got extended. Also suspiciously fired right after the AJ Brown, when the team had a winning record, mid season.

Carthon, bad hire who was promoted, extended then fired right away. Basically neutered mid-season, which you had to eat crow about.

The issue with Callahan is whether she took play calling away from him. Also should have been fired after year one, they had to know inside he was terrible. Likely didn't want to fire him because of the bad rep for firing everyone.

AAS would be fine with the right advisors around her. She wants to be a good owner. Her fear of bad optics and embarrassment are an issue but the right people around her could mitigate it.

Franchise QBs trump bad owners

You yourself said jrob likely got fired for more than roster issues. Firing him after the eagles loss was a bad look optics wise but he deserved it

The Carthon stuff is a nothing burger. Vrabel dominating the org likely masked carthon being lazy and not present. When vrabel forced his way out, many complained about the structure so she made him the top guy and he pissed it away. She was right to fire him, the extension and promotion are meaningless in that context.

Brinker had a ton of agency in the Callahan hire and it was clear early in the offseason that he was behind keeping him another year and letting him grow into being a HC. He used that language a lot.

This AAS is bad owner stuff is stupid. Shes made some good hires and some bad hires. Its pro sports, the margins are thin and success fleeting. I like that she moves on when loses confidence in her people. Hopefully Brinker and Borgonzi deliver the goods.

Anyone else hear Breer saying today that AAS is moving fulltime to Tennessee.

Thats fucking terrifying.

Everyone in the media is mad she isnt around and acts like they think it would help with FO consistency.. but the last thing we want is her being MORE invoved.
