One of the reasons the 3-4 was in vogue for so long is the ability to find OLB's, and it's versatility in coverage.. however, a lot of teams are going to a 4-3 type defense, with a 4 man rush on every down and perhaps tackling the ball carrier on the way to the qb.. Schwartz runs that type of system, and still uses the wide 9 rush on 3rd and long..

Wouldn’t be for HC, but maybe a potential OC/QB Coach option under whoever they hire as HC.

Jacksonville's defense has been impressive.  10 INTs thus far (#1 in NFL) and #7 in points allowed with a group which was largely terrible last year and is trying to accommodate Hunter (who probably shouldn't be on the field at this point) to justify the pick. 

 

I don't mind defensive coaches, especially if the decision is between them and someone wholly unqualified like Callahan.  But it's far easier to find a good DC than an OC.

Zac Robinson is climbing up my list after what he did to Buffalo Monday night, although he's heavily rumored to be a favorite for the Oklahoma State job.

cant be a guy without HC experience this time around, would be stunned if they went that route again after the disaster that was Callahan.

My issue is we hired a first time head coach and play caller while pairing him with a first time defensive coordinator.  I would take a proven coordinator and pair them with an experienced counterpart.

Nagy, Stefanski (if let go), and McCarthy are the top guys in that case

Most Falcons fans despise Robinson.  That team has maybe the most or second most offensive talent in the league and was shut out recently by the Panthers...
