If this is true then local media losing credibility by the minute (they didn’t have much to begin with)

If this is true, why wasn't McCarthy on the list the team released following the first week of interviews

My thoughts.   I post infrequently nowadays but do want to do so tonight.  I have vacillated with each new entry into the HC/OC sweepstakes.  I studied what I could with available data on ea

FWIW on F Words Zach Lyons just said he heard the interview between McDaniel and the Titans went “very well”.

He may be their true target.  McCarthy is probably my number 2 behind McDaniel.  Like Harbaugh- despite his warts - his experience and record are impossible to ignore.  And one of the comps Ward gets a lot (when not mahomes) is Rodgers.

The thing I find most interesting about this thread is the true underlying hate between @ctm and @tgo is hilariously proper in its form.

Not really. This means McCarthy was likely a key target which fucking sucks.

I thought it was odd that McCarthy was only interviewing with TN and NY, figured just because he was a third tier candidate and others weren’t interested.

Maybe he’s a top candidate and chose only the two openings to interview for!

If our finalists are McCarthy, Mcdaniel, stefanski -  I can get behind that.  And they had McDaniel in person for an all day visit. I can see how that may count as their first and  second .  That’s totally up to them.

if we want to assume high competence - they may be their process done quieter and quicker than many think.  McDaniel, McCarthy both - in their heads - have had first and second.  Stefanski on Sunday

Then interview saleh to see if he’s worth waiting on.  They could be ready to negotiate with agents as early as Monday.

Probably optimistic/wishful thinking on mcdaniels but by Monday they would have completed 2 candidates for first and second interviews with Stefanski and McCarthy.

They need to win is also what this says.  Also they need a stabilizer in the locker room.

He ranks high on both .

It’s quite possible- he has all the cred of Harbaugh with less hype.

Honestly if you look at McCarthy, Stefanski, and McDaniel-  you’ve got a continuum on a theme. Ward- offense, experience and offensive innovation with each levels of each. McCarthy the base.  All in on experience and stability. McDaniel all in on innovation, modernization and offensive production and Stefanski right in the middle.

It may not lay out like that but that’s a pretty clean set of choices
