This is the exact type of deal I had in mind yesterday when I considered if we should actually be buyers at the deadline. Not every deal involves teams in playoff contention. If there’s some WR/CB/EDGE guy on a loser team that is an impending FA and could help us , we should consider it. The thing no one kind of wants to admit either is that the cost is generally lower than you think too in terms of draft pick compensation. And it is possible to buy and sell at the same time. Browns are bad (imagine that). Bengals don't have Burrow...they have Flacco (imagine THAT). Pitt will be 8-8. So yeah, if I'm the Ravens I don't give up yet. But sure looks like they are. Plenty of teams would likely be interested in acquiring him before the trade deadline. Needs the right scheme fit, where can he run through wide open holes untouched? That's the team! Some of these rushing lines are George 2001-2004 level , yikes.

He's always needed elite run blocking and space. Without Lamar helping create it then he won't get it. Early in the year he was putting up huge numbers with wide open lanes. He might struggle to get the 1000 yards to pass Brown and get into the top 10 of career rushing yards this year.
