I dont see how he's on the team after his fumbles and his non-impressive camp so far. Good thing Tyke Tolbert decided he was the better player than Malik Washington. Maybe if we decide to keep 7 WR but even then... Edited August 4 by titanruss

Were they not switched last year or am I making things up? Otherwise, only surprise to me is that Gray is backing up Williams. Seems like Reese & Williams have similar makeups; likewise for Barton & Gray. Not sure it really matters, though. Also, the CB spot is brutal if Sneed doesn't snap out of it, which we already knew. Seeing it on the depth chart, though...damn SleepingTitan

Nash
IMO, we have a below average to average NFL starting roster on offense, which is cause for hope and below average starters on defense.. our depth is better on offense this season compared to last season, but is pretty limited on defense.. our depth is young just about everywhere except for Hance, on offense, Watkins, Horne, Lynch, Jihaad Ward on defense Special teams should be average .. There may be some waiver wire additions or even free agents as noted below Preston Smith info
OzTitan
Helm straight to #2 is a small surprise, just assumed he'd be forced to work his way up longer than this. Williams as a starting ILB is not really a surprise due to the lack of options but a bit disappointing Gray is lagging.
Callidus
2 hours ago, titanruss said: The main worry I've seen with Callahan is he listens to outside noise and has made adjustments in the past kind of based on what the media and fans were saying. This last padded practice was added on after a day of the media saying there was no fire... Cally had said there was plenty of fire and it was a good practice. All of a sudden we need the extra practice... one where Cally yells and tries to fire them up/ chew them out. Feels like Cally listens to outside noise and reacts to it rather than being pro active. Similar to the ST noise last year and letting the crowd influence on field decisions. Thats my only real knock. I don't think there was much we could figure out about his coaching abilities with last years roster If he listened to the fans and media about st he would have fired the ST coach by week 5. But we really don't know that yet. Gotta wait and see. As for last year, he claims he tried so many things and couldn't find an offensive footing because in game Levis mentally collapsed under pressure. They ran plays in practice. Shit looked fine. In game, different story. I'll give him some benefit of the doubt We have no choice but to, however, if his idea of leadership is to consistently blame others for his failures, he won’t be long for an NFL HC. I am old school…I don’t want to hear about the labor pains, just show me the baby. Edited August 5 by Righteous

It’s also primarily a two down run stopping spot so it’s not that much of a surprise that he’s ahead. If he’s stinks, this is one spot they could easily find a start via the WW

titanruss
Williams looking good enough to start is a great thing. He's 6'4 240 and has coverage experience from his DB days.
