I mean the Browns are obviously a badly run org but the idea itself is not that bad, 2nd round deals are not back breaking and if you're super confident in your pick living up to the deal, why not cause chaos among competing teams who may not be as confident in theirs.

It's as risky for the Texans and Browns as it is for everyone else, regardless of how confident they are. A busted player is still wasted resources. There's a reason those players didn't get drafted in the 1st round.

Obviously there are still high talent players available in the 2nd round, but there are some 1st round players that don't even live up to their draft slot. How much more likely is it you run into those type of players a round later?

Other teams have a right to be irritated at the idiots.

I think teams don't go bpa in rounds 1&2.  The next best player and your need position maybe don't match.  I like Femi, don't know him.  Was he BPA?  I like the 9-8 Steelers.  It looks like they nail some positions every year because they run their system.  They know who fits.  QB.  Something wrong.

It’s gonna be sick when we out character other teams each week!

We're talking AAV of under $3M for 4 years, chump change for the salary cap.

What's funny for the Browns is Judkins was picked like 3 places after the LB they gave the guaranteed deal to, and it doesn't look like they're extending the offer to him, so it may not make it past the first 2 picks in round 2.

I see your point but once you set that precedent you set yourself up to endure a hold out on a future 2nd rounder you're as confident about.

I was listening to a local radio station today.  They said Femi is having some problems getting around the edge.  He's an athlete, they'll find a way to get the max out of him.

@Jamalisms and Bongo, sittin in a tree, jerking off to contracts, fully guaranteed.

That's a good and snarky little rhyme, so fuck you, but ... what the actual fuck am I being harassed about?

Are you still upset I stated the simple reality that recent precedents explain the stand-off, give the players a good bit of legitimacy in the demand and teams could solve the problem right now if they wanted?

If so ... ok. Good story. Still fuck you for the rhyme ... but it's such a dumb thing to whine at me about that I kinda just don't care. This is how the world works.
